DFS Captain / MVP Picks

Anthony Edwards, MIN

(DK CPT - $14,100, UTIL - $9,400 / FD CPT - $22,800, UTIL - $15,200)

Edwards has played 26 minutes and 29 minutes in his two games since returning from a hamstring injury, but he was on pace for minutes in the mid-30s in both contests before lopsided scores forced the Wolves to pull their starters early. Ant flashed his dynamic upside last game against the Jazz, putting up 37 points despite not playing the fourth quarter in the blowout. He wasted no time returning to top form since the injury is a strong candidate to lead the slate in fantasy points.

Julius Randle, MIN

(DK CPT - $13,200, UTIL - $8,800 / FD CPT - $21,300, UTIL - $14,200)

Julius Randle has been consistently excellent for the Wolves this season, regardless of whether Edwards was in the lineup or not. He has scored at least 42 fantasy points in every game this season, and he has gone over 50 in three contests. The forward put up a triple-double in just 26 minutes last game against Utah. The amazing consistency and strong ceiling make him a high-confidence play even with Edwards back to full strength.

Domantas Sabonis, SAC

(DK CPT - $13,500, UTIL - $9,000 / FD CPT - $19,500, UTIL - $13,000)

The Kings really have four guys who could easily pop for a big game, but Sabonis has the highest ceiling assuming he is cleared to play. He's listed questionable after sitting out the last two games, so we definitely need to monitor the injury report here. The big man's elite rebounding ability and tendency to fill up the stat sheet make him the top choice. If Sabonis is ruled out, LaVine, DeRozan, and Westbrook would all be excellent choices for the top lineup spot.

DFS Utility Picks

Dennis Schroder, SAC

(DK CPT - $9,000, UTIL - $6,000 / FD CPT - $11,100, UTIL - $7,400)

Schroder is the cheapest of the Kings starters by a significant margin, which makes him a core piece to build around. He's locked in for a role of 30+ minutes  and fits almost any roster construction. The point guard has posted a solid 21.7% usage and 30.6% assist rate so far this season.

Rudy Gobert, MIN

(DK CPT - $9,600, UTIL - $6,400 / FD CPT - $9,600, UTIL - $6,400)

Gobert has been playing mid-30s minutes in close games and has solid upside thanks to elite rebounding and shot blocking ability. The floor isn't quite as strong as it's been in the past, but Gobert is still a strong play in the mid-range.

Donte DiVincenzo, MIN

(DK CPT - $9,900, UTIL - $6,600 / FD CPT - $8,100, UTIL - $5,400)

Another solid mid-range option who should see at least 30 minutes of action. DiVincenzo does a little bit of everything and will be needed as a playmaker and facilitator even with Edwards back in the lineup.

Zach LaVine, SAC

(DK CPT - $12,000, UTIL - $8,000 / FD CPT - $13,500, UTIL - $9,100)

LaVine got off to a hot start this season, with five 30-point performances in his first six games. He's cooled off a bit in the last two games, but he should play 35+ minutes. LaVine leads the Kings with a 24.6% usage rate and always has a chance to spike a big scoring night.

DeMar DeRozan, SAC

(DK CPT - $11,700, UTIL - $7,800 / FD CPT - $15,000, UTIL - $10,000)

DeRozan has a similar ceiling to LaVine, but we haven't seen it as often this season. Both his usage and assist rates are a tick below last season. DeRozan can be viewed as a safe floor option, but the lack of ceiling recently is a bit concerning.
