The Heat are on the second leg of a back-to-back and could potentially be getting Norman Powell back. The Clippers are solid favorites in tonight’s game, as they should be. DFS Captain / MVP Picks

James Harden, LAC

(DK CPT - $16,200, UTIL - $10,800 / FD CPT - $20,400, UTIL - $13,600)

The Clippers best fantasy asset this year, just like last year, is James Harden. He’s the team leader in usage at 27.4% and in DKP/min at 1.33. Great pace up spot for the Clippers.

Kawhi Leonard, LAC

(DK CPT - $15,000, UTIL - $10,000 / FD CPT - $19,800, UTIL - $13,200)

We’ve seen three monster games out of Kawhi Leonard in his last four outings, pouring in 27+ points and 44+ DKP. He’s been an elite FP/min guy and is second in usage rate as well. It’s great to see Leonard’s minutes float in the mid-to-upper 30s in competitive games.

Bam Adebayo, MIA

(DK CPT - $15,600, UTIL - $15,000 / FD CPT - $19,500, UTIL - $13,000)

As it stands right now, we’re unsure about Norman Powell’s status, and without Powell, Adebayo has averaged nearly 1.3 FP/min. He’s been a 1.2 FP/min with Powell, so not a big dropoff if Powell plays. The amount of three-point volume he’s taking raises his ceiling.

 

 

 

DFS Utility Picks

Ivica Zubac, LAC

(DK CPT - $12,600, UTIL - $8,400 / FD CPT - $15,000, UTIL - $10,000)

Ivica Zubac is just nails night in, night out. 20% USG and 1.1 FP/min, which is a little down from a year ago, but such a safe UTIL play in this spot.

Norman Powell, MIA

(DK CPT - $13,200, UTIL - $8,800 / FD CPT - $16,500, UTIL - $11,000)

It’s hard to ignore Norman Powell’s usage rate if he plays. He is at 25% USG this season and a team-leading 1.35 FP/min. In the two competitive games the Heat played with Powell, he put up 49+ DKP in each. The ceiling is tremendous.

Jaime Jaquez., MIA

(DK CPT - $10,200, UTIL - $6,800 / FD CPT - $13,500, UTIL - $9,000)

We see nearly a 2% USG bump for Jaime Jaquez. with Norman Powell off the floor. We don’t know if Powell is going to play, he’s listed as questionable, but I like JJJ if he doesn’t much more. He’s been a baseline 1.1 FP/min player with or without Powell, which is a great number.
