DFS Captain / MVP Picks
Alperen Sengun, HOUÂ
(DK CPT - $17,700, UTIL - $11,800 / FD CPT - $22,200, UTIL - $14,800)
With Kevin Durant and Steven Adams ruled out, Sengun is set up for an increased role this evening. The matchup also sets up nicely for a ceiling performance, as the Warriors have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to the center position this season. With Adams out, Sengun will operate as the primary center for Houston. It's a small sample of just 37 minutes this season, but Sengun has posted a 31% usage rate and seen a 2.2% boost in rebounding rate with Durant and Adams off the floor.Â
Amen Thompson, HOUÂ
(DK CPT - $15,300, UTIL - $10,200 / FD CPT - $15,600, UTIL - $10,400)
Thompson is coming off a ceiling performance last game against Phoenix in which he posted 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. It was the first game this season that Durant has missed, so it is definitely noteworthy. The matchup sets up slightly better for Sengun, but Thompson's ceiling performance and slightly cheaper price tag put him in the same tier as Sengun.Â
Stephen Curry, GSW
(DK CPT - $17,400, UTIL - $11,600 / FD CPT - $20,400, UTIL - $13,600)
The Warriors are slight favorites and therefore have the slightly higher team total, but the Rockets have more impactful injuries that are likely to push Sengun/Thompson ahead of Curry in Captain ownership. It certainly wouldn't be a surprise if Curry were the top scorer on the slate, so he is very much in play at the top of any lineup. The sharpshooter has scored more than 30 points in five of his last six games.Â

DFS Utility Picks
Jimmy Butler, GSW
(DK CPT - $15,600, UTIL - $10,400 / FD CPT - $18,000, UTIL - $12,000)
Butler doesn't have quite the ceiling of the top three plays on the slate, but he is just a hair below. He has been filling up the stat sheet with Golden State and should be locked in for mid-30s minutes, which gives him an excellent floor.Â
Reed Sheppard, HOU
(DK CPT - $9,300, UTIL - $6,200 / FD CPT - $8,400, UTIL - $5,600)
Sheppard drew the start for Durant last game, but he only played 27 minutes. He should be able to find a few more than that in this matchup, especially with Adams ruled out. The Rockets are less likely to prioritize a double big lineup with Capela compared to the way they utilize Sengun/Adams. Sheppard has the upside to play mid-30s, and he should shoot much better than the 22% he posted last game.Â
Jabari Smith, HOUÂ
(DK CPT - $11,100, UTIL - $7,400 / FD CPT - $12,900, UTIL - $8,600)
Smith has played at least 30 minutes in each of the four games since Tari Eason went out with an injury. Now, he should benefit even further with Durant and Adams out of the lineup. He has the potential to play upper-30s minutes, and could see a boost in usage and rebounding with this lineup.Â
Clint Capela, HOUÂ
(DK CPT - $1,500, UTIL - $1,000 / FD CPT - $2,400, UTIL - $1,600)
Capela should be locked into the non-Sengun minutes as the backup center, and he has a chance to play a little alongside Sengun as well. A role in the 16-18 minutes range would be quite useful at his price, and makes him a valuable part of roster construction on this single-game slate.Â
Aaron Holiday, HOUÂ
(DK CPT - $6,000, UTIL - $4,000 / FD CPT - $4,200, UTIL - $2,800)
Holiday played 27 minutes off the bench and stepped into a high usage role when he was on the court. It's not guaranteed that either of those things will repeat, but it is certainly noteworthy. At minimum, he should be locked into a role in the low-20s, and he's posted a 20.3% usage rate on the season. That's a pretty solid role for his price.Â

DFS Dart Throws
- Gary Payton, GSW (DK CPT - $4,500, UTIL - $3,000 / FD CPT - $3,300, UTIL - $2,200)
- Josh Okogie, HOU (DK CPT - $6,900, UTIL - $4,600 / FD CPT - $4,500, UTIL - $3,000)
- Draymond Green, GSW (DK CPT - $12,000, UTIL - $8,000 / FD CPT - $9,600, UTIL - $6,400)
- Moses Moody, GSW (DK CPT - $8,700, UTIL - $5,800 / FD CPT - $7,500, UTIL - $5,000)
