We have just two games across the NBA on Saturday, April 1st, so our normal NBA DFS playbook is condensed today into a write-up. Despite having just two games on the docket, we have plenty of star power in Luka Doncic, Brandon Ingram, and Kyrie Irving.

Be sure to check out our NBA DFS projections, powered by FanJections, NBA DFS Lineup Generator, and all of the rest of our NBA DFS content and tools! Let's break down Dylan's top plays of the day for DraftKings and FanDuel!

Dallas Mavericks @ Miami Heat

O/U: 222.5

Spread: MIA -105

Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks are struggling as of late winning just three of their past 10 games and currently sit on the outside looking into the playoff picture. They are a half-game back from the surprise Oklahoma City Thunder.

The best play for the Mavericks is Luka Doncic but he is the highest-priced player on the slate at $11,700. The Mavericks have struggled as of late but Luka has not scoring over 50 fantasy points in four of his last five games. He has the highest ceiling and floor on this slate tonight.

With playing Luka tonight, I will most likely stay away from Kyrie Irving at his price of $9,200. Tim Hardaway is interesting at his price of $5,600 as he has scored at least 28 fantasy points in two of his last three games. But outside of those two guys, I am not a fan of anyone else on this Mavericks roster with them struggling.

Christian Wood has become unplayable as of late playing under 20 minutes in three straight games as Head Coach Jason Kidd has been playing Maxi Kleber instead who is a decent cheap play

Top play(s): Luka Doncic

Secondary play(s): Tim Hardaway Jr., Maxi Kleber

Miami Heat

Like the Mavericks, the Heat have been struggling as well losing three straight games. However, they sit comfortably in the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference two games ahead of the eighth and ninth seeds.

Jimmy Butler is the highest-priced player for the Heat tonight at $8,500, but he has disappointed his fantasy owners by scoring fewer than 30 fantasy points in back-to-back games. The Mavs do not have a great matchup for Butler tonight, so I will be playing him at his price with him playing 34.5 minutes over his last three games.

Bam Adebayo comes into this one questionable with a hip contusion so that is something to monitor. However, His price might be too hard to pass up with it sitting at just $7,400. Bam has the opportunity to give you 40+ fantasy points in any game he plays. If he is a go, he will be in my lineup.

If you are looking to pay down a bit can I interest you in Gabe Vincent? Kyle Lowry comes in questionable and Vincent is coming off a huge game scoring 34 fantasy points. If Lowry does not play, Vincent should be in your lineup at $3,900. Tyler Herro should also cross your mind at $6,400 tonight.

Top play(s): Jimmy Butler

Secondary play(s): Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Gabe Vincent

Los Angeles Clippers @ New Orleans Pelicans

O/U: 227.5

Spread: NO -3.5

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers are on the second night of a back-to-back and are already short-handed with missing Paul George with his knee injury. The Clippers lost to a good Memphis team last night 108-94, with their star Kawhi Leonard only playing 18 minutes.

Head coach Ty Lue said he will be good to go tonight so I am comfortable paying for Kawhi tonight. With George out that gives more scoring opportunities to guys like Russell Westbrook and Norman Powell. Powell played 25 minutes last night and led the Clippers in scoring with 16 points.

Russell Westbrook really struggled last night finishing just 2-8 from the field for just four points. He did save his fantasy night somewhat with 11 assists and four rebounds. I expect a bounce back from him tonight.

The Clippers will also need to play big which is good news for Ivica Zubac. He finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds last night, and he will be the one battling Jonas Valanciunas. Zubac is only $5,100 and is a great pay-down option at the center position. I also do not mind Nicolas Batum at his price of $4,700 as well.

Top play(s): Kawhi Leonard

Secondary play(s): Russell Westbrook, Ivaca Zubac, Nicolas Batum

New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans come into this one as the hottest team on the slate winning six of their last seven games. Outside of Luka Doncic tonight, Brandon Ingram is my top play. He does not have quite the ceiling Luka has but he has been awesome as of late.

Ingram scored 63 fantasy points in his last outing which was his third game of at least 59 fantasy points in his last five games. He has also gotten up at least 20 shot attempts in four of five games.

With Ingram coming into his own with the Pelicans it has been CJ McCollum whose fantasy production has taken a hit. He is still $7,500 which means he is out not in my player pool if you play Ingram and Luka.

Trey Murphy is also a bright spot for the Pelicans scoring at least 15 game points in six straight games. The slam dunk contestant is known for his athletic ability but it is his three-point shooting that has taken the step forward. Over his last six games, he has shot 48% from downtown on 53 attempts. Find a way to get him in your lineup.

The last guy for the Pelicans is just a dart throw option and that is Larry Nance. He has played at least 23 minutes in two straight scoring at least 20 fantasy points in one of those contests. He is a decent salary-saving option.

Top play(s): Brandon Ingram

Secondary play(s): Trey Murphy, Larry Nance Jr.
