Welcome to the NBA DFS Playbook for Tuesday, February 25, 2025, where we break down the main slate for DraftKings and FanDuel to help you craft winning lineups. We have a 7-game slate tonight, headlined by a Luka Doncic revenge game against his former team. There are a handful of impactful questionable players, and a few games with very high game totals.

Before actually diving into the meat and potatoes, welcome to the NBA DFS season. If this is your first time reading our column on NBA DFS picks, I just want to welcome you and give you a few tips and tricks on what you should be looking for each night.

  • News outlets: reliable sources that give us injury news & starting lineups
  • Pace of play: who's playing fast vs. who's playing slow. Which teams get a pace-up spot (more possessions) vs. pace-down (fewer possessions)
  • Usage rates: is a percentage of how many plays that player is being used in

Pre/Post-Lock Update

This section will be used for anything that changes from the morning until right up to roster lock. 

Injury updates, players we’re higher on than we were in the morning and so much more.

UPDATE - 3:28 p.m. ET 

Buyer beware on value tonight. Vince Williams and Kelly O seem like two of the “better” value options sub-5K so far. I don't feel great about it (feel more comfortable with Kelly), but just know if you are playing Luka, you might have to play a very low-floor value piece or two. 

That's also probably why Luka's pOWN% is really generous (right now) for tonight's game. If better value opens up before lock, I would expect Luka's pOWN% to rise.
