Top Price Tier

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder

Shai is the cover boy for the playbook for a few different reasons amongst this other star power. His price is so much better than the likes of Joker and Luka while putting up similar numbers. This offense just runs through Shai and ranks 11th in the league in usage rate at 31% which happens to be higher than Nikola Jokic. Shai has only failed to score fewer than 50 fantasy points once out of his past five games. Plus, they have the second-highest game total on the slate. Play SGA today.

Luka Doncic, PG, Dallas Mavericks

Luka comes in a close second on this slate behind SGA. I just don't want to pay the extra $1,200 for Luka over SGA. Luka ranks higher than SGA in usage numbers but they put up very similar numbers. Luka is coming off back-to-back games in which he scored over 60 fantasy points so he has 5x of his value in the last few. I have no problem with you paying up for Luka, I am not when you can just pay down to SGA.

Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets

Jokic is fantastic. His price of 12k is just tough to get to on this slate in my opinion. But I get why it is priced that high. The man is just an animal, even more so with Jamal Murray sidelined with an injury. He has scored at least 67 fantasy points in four straight games. However, this matchup against the Rockets has blowout written all over it in my eyes, but Vegas does not seem to think so with it only being a 4.5-point spread. Vegas also has this one as a very low game total sitting just at 216. Joker absolutely should be in the player, pool, you just have to pay way up for him.

Anthony Davis, C, Los Angeles Lakers

Like Jokic above, AD is a little scary because this game could end up being a blowout as well. The Lakers are favored by 10 heading into this one, and it might be a good idea to play AD a little less in this one. However, the matchup is fantastic D'Andre Ayton being the only real big the Trail Blazers can throw at him without Robert Williams being available. I don't hate getting to Anthony Davis with his price sitting under 10K on DraftKings, especially with LeBron officially ruled out for today.

Kevin Durant, SF/PF Phoenix Suns

Remember when we could get KD under $9K to begin the year? Well, that was short-lived because now Durant's price is up to $10,300. With Beal coming back the last two games, it hasn't hurt Durant at all. In fact, it is helping him. Durant is averaging more points, rebounds, and assists with Beal in the lineup in the last two games. In a great game environment in this one, I love some KD and SGA going head-to-head tonight.

Mid-Price Tier

Brandon Ingram, SG/SF, New Orleans Pelicans

With CJ McCollum out of the lineup, Ingram is definitely in play tonight for me. With McCollum and Ingram both on the court together Ingram averages just just over 20 points per game. With him out of the lineup, it shoots all the way up 25 points per game. The shot attempts go from 15 a game to just under 24 for Ingram in the past three games. His usage rate also jumps from 27.5% to 35% as well. Ingram is a solid play tonight at his price of just $8,500.

Zach LaVine, SG/SF Chicago Bulls

the last time these two teams met up, Zach LaVine went absolutely bananas. LaVine scored 51 game points which was his career high finishing with 60.75 fantasy points. In fact, LaVine has reached over 40 game points in three of his past five games against this Pistons team. It's something about playing this Pistons team that LaVine loves, and I am buying into that Narrative tonight.

Deandre Ayton, C, Portland Trail Blazers

DeAndre Ayton is getting a ton of minutes for this Portland team averaging over 37 minutes per game over the last three. He has a consistent floor night i and night out as he has grabbed double-digit rebounds in all but one game this season. It isn't a great matchup against AD and the Lakers on the offensive end, but Ayton has been doing more in other categories as well. He has at least two steals in three of his past four games

Aaron Gordon, PF, Denver Nuggets

This is the Aaron Gordon that everyone wanted to see when he was a lottery pick for the Orlando Magic. He is the perfect pairing next Jokic and is a big part of this team on offense and defense. Gordon has grabbed double-digit rebounds in three straight games and has dished out at least five assists in three of his past four games. The assists number is what surprises people, but he really has been great as of late scoring over 40 fantasy points in four straight games. Keep playing Gordon.

Bradley Beal, PG/SG, Phoenix Suns

Beal is working his way back with the Suns as he is battling through back spasms. He is probable heading into this one so it looks like he should suit up as long as there are no flare-ups. Beal played 32 minutes in the last game and produced 36 fantasy points. You will absolutely take that at his $6,900 price. He could see a bit more work today, which raises his ceiling as well, but even if he stays around 30 minutes I expect him to hit value in a great game environment.

Value Price Tier

Killian Hayes, PG, Detroit Pistons

Killian Hayes has been a very solid-steady piece next to Cade Cunningham in the Detroit backcourt. Jayden Ivey and Alec Burks are both questionable heading into this one. If both of them don't play, Hayes's ceiling can be hit like it did last game when he finished with over 42. If they play, he takes a bit of a hit but he is still in play as he hasn't scored fewer than 25 fantasy points in his last five games.

Coby White, PG, Chicago Bulls

The Point guard on the other side of the court from the Bulls is Coby White. Like Hayes, White has been very good as of late. White has scored at least 26 fantasy points in four straight games including two games over 35. At $5,100 I feel like he is very undervalued on this slate against a struggling Detroit defense. If you do not play LaVine White is a nice pivot.

Marvin Bagley, C, Detroit Pistons

Staying in this Pistons-Bulls game, one of the only value centers on this slate is Marvin Bagley. He is priced just under 5K on DraftKings with Jalen Duren out in this one. There is not much ceiling here, as Bagley has not scored over 24 fantasy points in any game this season. However, the last time these two teams matched up, Bagley had an 11-6 night in just 15 minutes. Bagley is fine tonight at his price.

Derrick Jones Jr., SF/PF, Dallas Mavericks

Derrick Jones Jr. continues to start for this Dallas Mavericks team. Jones is just $4,600 even after scoring 28 and 36 fantasy points. It looks like Jones will continue to have a big role on this team playing at least 28 minutes in three straight games. This game has a very good game environment as this game total sits at 233. The high-flyer excels in fast-paced games, and this game should have a decent pace. I have no issues playing Jones today in a good matchup.

Haywood Highsmith, PF, Miami Heat

I played Highsmith last night with all the injuries to the Heat and it paid off. He played 34 minutes and scored 31 fantasy points while shooting just 3-13. Jimmy Butler could be back tonight, but I still do not have an issue going back to the well once again and could put him in lower ownership once again even though he is so cheap.  I don't have an issue playing Highsmith either way.
