With Week 13 of the Fantasy Basketball season upon us, let’s dive into a few of the top options available on the fantasy basketball waiver wire. There are some very interesting names and depending on what happens with Jimmy Butler, you could potentially have some options that stand out for the rest of the season.
Fantasy Basketball Week 13 Waiver Wire
Jaime Jaquez., Miami Heat - 34% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
What will the Miami Heat look like when Jimmy Butler’s suspension is over is the question of the day because if he suits up and plays, then a lot of the ancillary pieces fantasy value is mostly irrelevant. While he’s out and in limbo with the team, Jaime Jaquez is a great add given how good he is in multiple areas of the game. He’s logged a triple double and a 20-7-7 game twice over his last four games.
Nikola Jovic, Miami Heat - 27% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
It’s really hard to figure out what in the world is going to happen with Jimmy Butler because Butler obviously impacts Jovic. That being said, right now, Butler still has a few games left of his suspension and Jovic’s play has definitely earned him more time on the floor. He’s played 27+ minutes in three straight and 20+ points and 30+ fantasy points in two of the three. He’s able to do a LOT including being a secondary ball-handler.
Cole Anthony, Orlando Magic - 26% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
We have no data on when Jalen Suggs is going to return so until then, rostering Cole Anthony makes a ton of sense. Coming off 27 points on Sunday, Cole Anthony has scored 12+ in five straight games and has 30+ fantasy points in four straight. His offensive impact has not taken a hit at all with Paolo Banchero returning.
Andrew Nembhard, Indiana Pacers - 25% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
We don’t know how serious Tyrese Haliburton’s hamstring injury is, but he was unable to return to Sunday’s game because of it. It took him out of action last year considering he missed 10 games in a 11 game span. Andrew Nembhard should have an expanded role, much like we’ve seen anytime Haliburton's been out.
Jonathan Isaac, Orlando Magic - 10% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
The Magic saw Tristan da Silva and Goga Bitadze leave on Sunday and not return and that led to Jonathan Isaac’s season-high 27 minutes. Don’t look now, but Isaac’s played 20+ in three of five and twice over that span has played 25. Isaac is a very solid fantasy asset when he’s extended and when he’s healthy. Two things that he’s benefitting from greatly right now.
