Chalkboard NBA Picks: Thursday, 10/29; NBA DFS Projections
Thursday's slate has only three games, so the best lines for NBA player props today won't last long. Fantasy Alarm's NBA DFS Projections give you a number for every player on the slate, so you can quickly see which Chalkboard lines still offer value.
An All Pro membership unlocks complete access to our NBA DFS Projections and the rest of Fantasy Alarm's premium NBA tools for the full season. If you're building Chalkboard NBA picks every night, All Pro gives you the same data behind your entries that we use for ours.
Ja Morant Chalkboard NBA Pick: Higher 18.5 Points
Thursday is personal for Morant. He spent seven seasons with the Grizzlies before the June trade to Portland, and he faces them for the first time with both teams unbeaten. He's coming in hot after leading the Trail Blazers with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting in a 136-129 win over the Lakers.
His minutes have climbed from 23 to 27 to 31, and he's shooting 58.8% from the field and 44.4% from three. With the 7.5-point spread, the risk is a blowout that cuts his fourth quarter, but Morant averaged 19.5 points in his 20 games last season and has every reason to be aggressive tonight. Morant at Higher 18.5 points leads our Chalkboard NBA picks and is one of the best NBA picks today.
Cedric Coward Chalkboard NBA Pick: Higher 5.5 Rebounds
Coward is pairing perfectly with Memphis' young frontcourt. The second-year forward is averaging 9.7 rebounds and 13.3 points in 30.3 minutes, and he's grabbed 11 boards in each of his last two games.
He's cleared 5.5 rebounds in all three games he's played, so this is a low bar. Portland is a strong rebounding team, but a 234-point total and a fast pace between two unbeaten teams should create plenty of chances. Coward at Higher 5.5 rebounds rounds out our Chalkboard NBA picks.
