🏀 P.J. Washington Over 6.5 Rebounds (-115)

Dallas Mavericks at Portland Trail Blazers | ~8:00 PM ET

This is the play I feel most confident about on the entire Friday board.

Washington has averaged 18.3 points and 8.5 rebounds over his last six games while logging 33.5 minutes per night. Two nights ago in Denver, he totaled 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting with 15 rebounds, one assist, and one block in 31 minutes. That's not a one-game anomaly. Over his last 10 games, Washington has averaged 13.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, and 1.2 steals in 32.7 minutes per contest while shooting 51.4 percent from the floor.

The injury situation in Dallas amplifies the opportunity significantly. Kyrie Irving and Dereck Lively remain out for the season, and Daniel Gafford is also inactive with a right shoulder sprain. That leaves Washington as the primary healthy big man on the roster tonight, meaning he will own the glass on both ends without any frontcourt competition for minutes. Cooper Flagg has been fantastic this season but is a wing, not a rebounder at Washington's level.

Portland is a favorable matchup from a pace and rebounding standpoint. Dallas plays at a run-and-gun tempo that consistently creates second-chance opportunities, and Washington will be counted on to clean up on both ends. Against a 6.5 line, with a seven-game rolling average comfortably above it and a 15-board masterclass in his most recent game, this is a play to size up.

🏀 Scottie Barnes Over 6.5 Assists (-115)

Toronto Raptors vs. New Orleans Pelicans | ~7:30 PM ET

Scottie Barnes has been on an absolute tear as a playmaker, and tonight's matchup sets him up perfectly to cash this number again.

Barnes has had double-digit assists in back-to-back games, averaging 15.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game over his last 10 appearances. His most recent outing was a perfect example: nine points, eight rebounds, 12 assists, one block, and two steals over 31 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Clippers. Even in a game where he struggled from the field, his playmaking was elite.

The injury situation works directly in this prop's favor. Immanuel Quickley is dealing with right foot plantar fasciitis that has cost him a second straight contest, with Jamal Shead starting in his place. With Quickley off the floor, Barnes inherits primary ball-handling and playmaking responsibility for an offense that relies on him to initiate in critical moments. The All-Star forward is averaging 19.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 1.3 steals per contest this season.

His season-long average sits just below 6.5, and that's worth acknowledging. But his last ten games tell a different story, and with Quickley off the floor and the Pelicans not elite at preventing ball movement, the trend points sharply over.

🏀 Luka Doncic 4+ Points — First 3 Minutes, Q1 (12:00-9:00)

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Brooklyn Nets | ~10:30 PM ET

You want to ride the hottest scorer on the planet in a favorable spot. Luka Doncic at home against the Brooklyn Nets qualifies on every level.

Doncic leads the NBA at 33.6 points per game in 2025-26 and just completed a six-game road trip averaging 40.7 points, the first player to average 40-plus over a six-game road trip since Michael Jordan in 1986-87. In his most recent game against Indiana on Wednesday, Doncic exploded for 21 points in the first quarter alone on 8-of-12 shooting, establishing the game's tempo immediately and propelling the Lakers to a comfortable early lead. That was his eighth 20-point quarter of the season.

Tonight he returns to Crypto.com Arena against a Nets team with nothing to play for. Luka is notorious for attacking immediately out of the gates, with usage rates and shot volume in opening possessions among the highest in the league. The ask here is just four points in the first three minutes, which given his current form amounts to one mid-range look or a pair of free throws. At exploitable pricing, this is an easy add to an SGP or as a standalone opening-tip play.

The Lakers are 13-2 in their past 15 outings, and Doncic has been the engine driving that run. Expect him to come out aggressive in front of the home crowd.

🏀 Atlanta Hawks Moneyline (+190)

at Boston Celtics | 7:30 PM ET

This was already a live number this morning, and with Jaylen Brown now officially ruled out, the value has only grown.

The Atlanta Hawks (41-32) enter tonight trying to extend a three-game winning streak as five-point underdogs against the Boston Celtics (48-24) at TD Garden. Atlanta's moneyline sits around +190, implying roughly a 38% win probability. That feels significantly underpriced now. Boston is without Nikola Vucevic (out through April 5 with a right ring finger fracture), Jaylen Brown is officially off the board, and Derrick White remains questionable. If White can't go, Boston loses one of the best perimeter defenders and most important off-ball shooters in their entire system.

This matters enormously in context. In their previous meeting this season, Atlanta's defensive length held the Celtics to just 9-of-34 from three. Without Brown creating off the dribble and White spacing the floor, Boston's offense runs through far fewer reliable options. Both Jalen Johnson and Jonathan Kuminga have returned from their respective ailments, meaning the Hawks bring their most complete lineup in weeks.

Atlanta scores 118.4 points per game, ranking sixth in the NBA, while outscoring opponents by 1.8 points per game overall. The Hawks have also covered the spread in 13 of their last 15 games. Jayson Tatum is healthy and that remains a real caveat, as Boston is 7-2 with Tatum in the lineup this season, but asking him to carry a full offensive load without Brown in the rotation against Atlanta's athletic wings is a significant ask.

At +190 with a crippled Boston injury report, this is the best value on the slate.
