NASCAR DFS Toyota Owners 400 Playbook: Christopher Bell In A Great Spot
Published: Apr 02, 2023
The first trip to Richmond this year is upon us wit the Toyota Owners 400. The track known as the Action Track has been a bit devoid of that moniker for a few years now but there’s hope that the new aero package on the cars this year will help regain some on-track excitement. Besides, nothing is better than an action-packed short track race wit the beating and banging and bumps and runs happening.
Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR DFS Strategy
The first thing of note here is that passing can be tough in general. Typically the way to pass is to pull the strategy card, or take advantage of the other drivers’ lack thereof like we saw in the Xfinity race. Tire wear is a thing here too. That adds to the strategy part of the racing as well. We do have stage breaks this week, unlike last week where they kept racing despite handing out the points for the stages. Also unlike last week, laps led will be a factor as there are 400 of them this week, before overtime. So building around dominator points will be important this week for cash and GPP builds, though given the way the slate has setup, GPPs are the better choice this week. Why? There are some obvious chalk plays that will make cash builds too similar to really assure 2x return.
