This weekend the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series head to Southern California. And of course they head West amidst some of the worst weather imaginable as we lost Practice and Qualifying for both series on Saturday. So now we’re getting both races (likely) on Sunday given the heavy rains on Saturday. We have chalk that’s emerging in both series with all teams rolling their cars off the haulers hoping they have the right set up.

We know where everyone is starting and we can dive in with the top Cash and Tournament plays for the Production Alliance Group 300. We should expect competition cautions around Lap 20 so teams can make adjustments to their cars since they didn't have practice or qualifying. For the Xfinity Series it’s a very intriguing field. Cole Custer starts inside the top ten and in his Xfinity Series career, he’s run very well at Auto Club and on high tire wear tracks in general. But we have Cup Series veterans like Ross Chastain, Austin Dillon, and Tyler Reddick making their presence known and all three will be offering place differential for this particular race. Below are the NASCAR DFS Core Place for this weekend’s Xfinity Series action at Auto Club Speedway so you can start building your Cash and GPP lineups!

Lineup advice is fairly simple and I'm more than happy to assist in roster construction questions in the NASCAR DFS Discord. I'm only playing the $1 Happy Hour contest for this race. I would've preferred seeing how the cars look and getting practice/qualifying in. Not knowing how the cars will run fresh off the haulers is a little concerning so I'm playing light with my bankroll. But your Cash lineups have plenty of drivers offering PD and they'll likely start with Ross Chastain, Daniel Hemric, and someone like Alex Labbe or Timmy Hill. You will need to nail the right dominators in Tournaments and the top candidates are in the top tier below, but if/when Chastain and Tyler Reddick move their way up through the field they'll collect some dominator points as well. Remember, just because a driver appears in the Cash section and not the Tournament section doesn’t mean they don’t qualify for both. The Cash section is mostly filled with drivers offering PD as that’s how most DFS players will construct their Cash lineups for this race. But you can also consider dominators like Cole Custer, John Hunter Nemechek, and Justin Allgaier.

One Last Note: If the Xfinity Series is rained out and runs after the Cup Race on Sunday then we will still see Ross Chastain, Austin Dillon, and Tyler Reddick race in the XFIN race. They all said on Saturday they will race the Xfinity race if it's re-scheduled to Sunday evening. No word yet on what they'll do if it's re-scheduled to Monday, but I'm guessing they'll still race.
