Today’s MLB DFS coverage is for the medium sized 7-game main slate that starts at 2:10 pm ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Starting pitching is headlined by a head to head battle between Justin Steele and Logan Webb. Corey Seager and a hot-swinging Julio Rodriguez are the most expensive hitters at our disposal, with Jrod probably being my top spend-up option on this slate. Jon Impemba is on the playbook today, make sure to give that a read, and don’t forget to check out the MLB Lineups page, Vegas Odds, and all of our MLB DFS Tools. Let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day and some we can fit into our cash and tournament lineups!

MLB DFS Value Pitcher

Cole Ragans, Kansas City Royals (DraftKings: $7,200)

I was on playbook in Ragans last start and wrote “Why is Ragans this cheap? Have we not been paying any attention to what this guy is doing? Over his last five starts he has scored 28.7, 32, 6.7, 23.5, and 38.3 dk points. That’s ELITE level production, actually it’s above elite. There is simply no reason for this guy to be so cheap and one of the cheapest arms on the slate, especially facing the lowly Pirates.” He went out and fired 7 shutout innings with 9 Ks and scored 31.4 dk points. He is still cheap. Play him.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Ernie Clement, 2B/3B/SS, Toronto Blue Jays (DraftKings: $2,200 / FanDuel: $2,200)

Clement continues to fill in at SS for the Jays while Bichette is out and he is filling in admirably. He Is hitting .458 with a 1.188 OPS over his last 10 games with one home run and one stolen base. Today he faces Ken Waldichuk, who has a 5.92 ERA and 1.67 WHIP this season, so Clement gives you very cheap exposure to a really bad pitcher.

Nick Loftin, SS, Kansas City Royals (DraftKings: $2,600 / FanDuel: $2,000)

Loftin has started off his career in a great way, going 3-7 with two doubles, a RBI, and two runs scored through his first two games of action. He slashed .270/.344/.444 at AAA prior to his call up with 14 home runs and 6 steals in 82 games. He faces Jesse Scholtens, who has pitched decently this year, but he isn’t anything special with his 3.97 ERA and 1.31 WHIP this season.

Dominic Canzone, OF, Seattle Mariners (DraftKings: $3,100 / FanDuel: $2,200)

Canzone has homered in back-to-back games, scoring 16 and 19 dk points in those two contests. He is hitting a solid .278 over his last 10 games with 10 total R/RBI. He has five home runs and 35 total R/RBI in 40 games this season. On top of that, we of course love games played at Great American Smallpark where offense is abound and the Reds are not sending good pitchers to the mound in this one.
