Today’s MLB DFS coverage is for the ten-game main slate that starts at 12:10 pm ET FanDuel and nine-gamer that starts at 1:35 PM ET on DraftKings. Starting pitching is headlined by Gerritt Cole, Nathan Eovaldi, and Zack Wheeler. We do not have Coors Field on the slate, so you don’t have to worry about keeping that in mind when setting lineups. We have a couple mild MLB weather concerns today, so make sure to keep a close eye on the reports leading up to first pitch. Henry Wilson is on the playbook today, make sure to give that a read, and don’t forget to check out the MLB Lineups page, Vegas Odds, and all of our MLB DFS Tools. Let’s dive into some of my favorite daily fantasy baseball value options of the day and some we can fit into our cash and tournament lineups!

MLB DFS Value Pitcher

Dylan Cease, Chicago White Sox (DraftKings: $7,400 / FanDuel: $8,100)

Cease being this cheap is kind of comical to me, have they just completely been ignoring the way he’s been pitching lately? He has at least 6 strikeouts in five straight starts and has scored at least 19 DraftKings points in four straight. He’s also been better on the road this season with a 3.62 ERA, compared to his 5.05 mark on the road. The Boston Red Sox aren’t the easiest of matchups, but with the way he is pitching and at this price, I’ll take my chances. Update: Dylan Cease is NOT starting for the Chicago White Sox on Sunday.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Brandon Belt, 1B/OF, Toronto Blue Jays (DraftKings: $2,800 / FanDuel: $2,700)

Belt is hot right now, hitting .306 with a 949 OPS over his last ten games. He has two home runs and four doubles in that span. He’s also been a better hitter at home this year with a .303 average and .841 OPS, compared to a .230 average and .757 OPS on the road. Today, he faces Luis Medina, who is very bad and has a 7.01 ERA and 1.56 WHIP on the year through 43.2 innings of work. I would be surprised if he was the guy to cool off Belt.

Will Benson, OF, Cincinnati Reds (DraftKings: $2,500 / FanDuel: $2,200)

Benson has been going bananas lately and I have been playing him in my lineup every single day that he is starting. Over his last ten games, he is hitting .455 with a 1.489 OPS! In that span, he has two bombs and a steal and has had a hit in nearly half of his at-bats while posting a .625 OBP! This game is in Great American Ballpark and Benson has power/speed upside. He should not be this cheap anymore.

Drew Waters, OF, Kansas City Royals (DraftKings: $2,200 / FanDuel: $2,200)

Waters has caught FIRE over the past three days, going 6-for-12 with two home runs, a steal, four RBI, and three runs scored. Today he faces Tyler Glasnow and while Glasnow is a good pitcher, he has not looked very good lately, giving up 12 hits, nine runs, three bombs, and six walks over his last 9.2 innings pitched. “Well the Royals aren’t very good,” I get that, but those two outings were against the Athletics and Orioles. I like Waters to stay hot.
