Tonight’s MLB DFS coverage is for the medium 8-game main slate that starts at 7:05 pm ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. We may have 5 less games than yesterday, but pitching is way deeper today. Starting pitching is stacked tonight with guys like Kevin Gausman, Blake Snell, Clayton Kershaw, and Luis Castillo all taking the mound. Ronald Acuna Jr. and Shohei Ohtani are, once again, the most expensive hitters at our disposal. Grande is on the playbook today, make sure to give that a read, and don’t forget to check out the MLB Lineups page, Vegas Odds, and all of our MLB DFS Tools. Let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day and some we can fit into our cash and tournament lineups!

MLB DFS Value Pitcher

Mike Clevinger, Chicago White Sox (DraftKings: $5,700)

Clevinger has been very solid this season with a 3.55 ERA. He isn’t nearly as eclectic as he used to be, but he’s been getting the job done. He has pitched pretty well since coming off the IL too, scoring over 20 dk points in two of his three outings and not allowing more than 3 ER in any of them. The Cubs aren’t the easiest of tests and they were hot a few weeks ago, but they haven’t been very good over the last week as they’ve averaged just 3.71 runs per game over their last 7 games.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Nicky Lopez, 2B/3B/SS/OF, Atlanta Braves (DraftKings: $2,800 / FanDuel: $2,100)

I was in on Lopez yesterday and it didn’t work out, but that isn’t going to stray me away from trying on him again today. I don’t much of him as a player, but it’s almost always a good thing to have a piece or two (or three or four) of this Braves offense, especially when they aren’t facing good pitching. This team just scores a ton of runs and it’s hard to not like a starter at this price tag.

Michael Harris II, OF, Atlanta Braves (DraftKings: $4,400 / FanDuel: $2,900)

Speaking of the Braves, we have Harris who I really like at this price now that he is batting second in the lineup (since Ozzie Albies landed on the IL). He started the season very slow, but he has been great for months now and he continues to produce. He is hitting .333 over his last 10 games with two home runs and three steals. He now has 11 home runs and 16 steals on the year. He has also been far better at home this season, hitting .320 with a .883 OPS, compared to .261 and .713 on the road, respectively.

Teoscar Hernandez, OF, Seattle Mariners (DraftKings: $3,600 / FanDuel: $2,600)

Hernandez hasn’t been the fantasy stud that he has been in the past, but he is having a fine year, hitting .250 with 18 home runs and 5 steals. He is hot at the dish right now too, hitting .378 with a 1.059 OPS over his last 10 games. He has two home runs and a steal in that timeframe. He had a monster game yesterday, going 5-5 with a dinger to finish with 32 DK points. He’s been much better on the road this year, hitting .278 with a .787 OPS, compared to .223 and .654 at home, respectively.
