Tonight’s MLB DFS coverage is for the monster 13-game main slate that starts at 7:05 pm ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Starting pitching is pretty weak for this big of a slate with the only real headliner being Zack Wheeler, and he has to face the Toronto Blue Jays. We do have Coors Field on the slate, so keep that in mind when setting lineups. Ronald Acuna Jr. and Shohei Ohtani are the most expensive hitters at our disposal. Henry is on the playbook today, make sure to give that a read, and don’t forget to check out the MLB Lineups page, Vegas Odds, and all of our MLB DFS Tools. Let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day and some we can fit into our cash and tournament lineups!

MLB DFS Value Pitcher

Emerson Hancock, Seattle Mariners (DraftKings: $5,500 / FanDuel: $7,400)

He is the obvious value play today and will likely see a hefty rostership number tonight as the rookie pitched very well in his first, firing 5 innings of one-run ball against a much tougher opponent in the Padres. He is incredibly cheap and the Royals are one of the best matchups in baseball this season for pitchers. The only real reason to not roll with Hancock tonight is if you’re trying to avoid the chalk.

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Brendan Rodgers, 2B, Colorado Rockies (DraftKings: $3,300 / FanDuel: $2,800)

Rodgers is coming off his best game since being activated as he went 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored to finish with 14 dk points. I hope that he can carry that momentum into this game as this is such a good spot for him. For one, he’s always hit lefties better than he’s hit righties and then there’s also the obvious fact of this game being played at Coors Field (where he’s unsurprisingly always been better as well).

Nicky Lopez, SS/OF, Atlanta Braves (DraftKings: $2,500 / FanDuel: $2,100)

Leave it to the Braves to somehow be able to even turn Lopez into a superstar at the dish (maybe I am being salty as a Mets fan). He has looked incredible in his first two starts with the team, go scoring 37 and 22 DK points by going 7-13 with a home run, 8 RBI, a steal, and four runs scored. To add some context to this, he had ZERO home runs and only 13 RBI across 157 at-bats with the Royals prior to being traded. Tonight he faces the worst pitcher in baseball right now in Luis Severino

Dominic Canzone, OF, Seattle Mariners (DraftKings: $2,500 / FanDuel: $2,400)

Canzone has shown some flashes and does have two home runs, nine RBI, and nine runs scored through 68 at-bats. He also has a nice matchup tonight against Jordan Lyles, who has a 6.13 ERA and has given up 24 home runs. He is coming off a nice complete game against the Red Sox, but he doesn’t have a 6.13 ERA for no reason and we can expect the Mariners to do some damage here.
