With MLB Opening Day behind us, we move forward with today's Underdog Fantasy MLB picks for March 29th, 2024!

For today’s picks, we'll be highlighting five players on Underdog Fantasy poised to make a significant impact on the field and help us build those bankrolls this evening.

MLB Underdog Fantasy Picks Today: March 29th

Jake Burger DFS Picks: Miami Marlins

First up, we have Jake Burger facing off against Martin Perez and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Burger, known for his power at the plate, is set to capitalize on this matchup. Over the last two seasons Burger has a .320 ISO against southpaws.

With his ability to drive the ball into the gaps and over the fence, Burger has a strong chance of surpassing the 1.5 total bases mark. Look for him to make his presence felt early in the game and contribute to his team's offensive efforts.

Mookie Betts DFS Picks: Los Angeles Dodgers

Next, we turn our attention to Mookie Betts as he takes on Zack Thompson and the St. Louis Cardinals. Betts, a perennial All-Star, homered yesterday and gets to face a southpaw today in Thompson.

Against lefties last season Betts had a .373 ISO and a .673 slugging percentage. With his combination of speed, power, and precision at the plate, Betts is poised to rack up total bases against Thompson.

Merrill Kelly DFS Picks: Arizona Diamondbacks

On the pitching front, Merrill Kelly is primed for a strong outing against the Colorado Rockies. In his final spring outing, we saw Kelly throw 76 pitches so he should be good to pitch deep into the game here this evening. Kelly, known for his durability and command on the mound, is tasked with shutting down a bad Rockies' lineup that was held to just four hits by Zac Gallen

With his ability to induce ground balls and generate strikeouts, Kelly is capable of exceeding the 16.5 pitching outs mark. Look for him to pitch deep into the game and keep the Rockies' offense in check.

Kyle Tucker DFS Picks: Houston Astros

In another exciting matchup, Kyle Tucker faces off against Carlos Rodon and the New York Yankees. The lefty vs lefty matchup here does not scare me off Tucker as the Astros outfielder had a .372 wOBA with a .517 slugging percentage against southpaws last season.

Rodon has not pitched well as a member of the Yankees and this Astros lineup is known for hammering left-handed pitching. With his ability to get on base and drive in runs, Tucker has a good chance of surpassing the 1.5 hits+runs+RBI mark.

Corbin Carroll DFS Picks: Arizona Diamondbacks

In a game last night where the Diamondbacks scored 16 runs, we saw Carroll go 0-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored. Not exactly the output we were looking for from the Diamondbacks star player but Friday’s matchup against Cal Quantrill gives him an opportunity for redemption.

Lefties absolutely mashed Quantrill last season, owning a .369 wOBA and a .472 slugging percentage against the veteran right-hander. Quantrill is not a strikeout pitcher, so I’d look for Carroll to attack whatever is thrown in the zone here tonight against this lesser caliber of a starting pitcher.
