The Cubs are my favorite offense of the day as they draw a matchup against Orioles' righty Tomoyuki Sugano.

Sugano has a MAJOR home run problem as he allows 2.1 HR/9 to lefties and 1.7 HR/9 to righties and this is NOT the team you want to have issues with the long ball with as Kyle Tucker, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Seiya Suzuki and Michael Busch all are on pace for 30+ homers this season.

Paul Skenes Underdog MLB Pick - Higher Than 6.5 Strikeouts

This number is a bit puzzling. Sure, heading into the All-Star Break, we saw Skenes on a bit of a pitch count that was limiting his inning, but he went out and threw 99 pitches in his most recent start while finishing with nine strikeouts.

Even in the games where he was limited, he was still striking out hitters at an elite clip and now he draws the Colorado Rockies who put up a football score worth of runs last night. That just doesn’t seem likely to happen against the best pitcher in baseball.

Give me Skenes and the strikeouts here today. I’d be willing to play this line up to 9.5, if we are being honest.
