Carlos Rodon MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: More Than 42.5 Fantasy Points

When facing left-handed pitching away from Coors Field this season the Rockies rank 28th in wOBA and 30th in batting average with league worst 30.1% strikeout rate. 

Over the last month those numbers are even worse as the Rockies rank 29th in wOBA, 26th in ISO, 29th in batting average and have league worst 36.7% strikeout rate. We are looking for Rodon to pitch deep into today’s game to get those win and quality start points while also racking up the strikeouts in today’s matchup to exceed his 42.5 fantasy point projection.

 

 

 

Keider Montero MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: More Than 4.5 Strikeouts

We love picking on the White Sox for MLB DFS Underdog Fantasy picks and tonight will be no different as they take on their divisional foe in the Detroit Tigers who will be sending righty Keider Montero to the mound. After a pretty rough start to the season for Montero he turned it around in the month of August to post a 3.52 ERA over four starts with 18 strikeouts over 23 innings.

At the major league level this season Montero doesn’t have the greatest strikeout numbers but at the minor league level his K/9 was usually sitting above 10.0 and to be fair to him, he has also drawn some pretty tough matchups this season. That said, we are looking for him to finish over 4.5 strikeouts today which is something he has done in two of his last three starts. The White Sox are also a strikeout prone team, owning a 24% strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season.
