I’m very interested in Baz’s spot here against Oakland and think there is legitimate upside to using him in multiple MLB DFS Underdog Fantasy picks, including the outs. Baz is coming off his lengthiest start of the year as he went seven innings and threw 97 pitches.

He faces an Oakland offense ranking 17th in OPS and wOBA over the last 30 days against right-handed pitching. Oakland hits a LOT of ground balls and that’s a good thing for Baz, who’s flyball rate is a little too elevated.

 

 

 

Cody Bradford MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Less Than 17.5 Pitching Outs

There is a decent chance that Bradford racks up a decent number of strikeouts here but this is a tough spot considering how good Pittsburgh has been against left-handed pitching. They’re second in OPS, wOBA and wRC+ and they’re third in ISO. 

Bradford allows a LOT of fly balls and power to right-handed bats, which is going to present issues against the righty-heavy Pirates. He’s only completed six innings in three of his six starts this year and it’s not going to be four of seven after tonight.
