New York Yankees @ Cleveland Guardians

Total: 6.5

Moneyline: Yankees -163

The only series left going is Yankees and Guardians as all the other MLB Divisional series' ended in rather quick fashion. Gerrit Cole vs Cal Quantrill is the pitching matchup we have lined up for this pivotal Game 4.

Don't forget to check out the MLB lineups page before locking in MLB daily fantasy lineups. Plus, use the MLB daily projections, our MLB DFS Optimizer, and the rest of our MLB DFS lineup tools before setting your lineups. Now let's look at our MLB DFS top picks for Sunday, October 16.

Captain/MVP

Gerrit Cole, New York Yankees

Cole had another monster year and he had a great first game against the Guardians in this series, firing 6.1 innings of one-run ball while striking out eight and picking up the victory. Cole has big time upside anytime he takes the mound as he can rack up strikeouts in a hurry and he will likely be the most popular option at the captain slot tonight.

Cal Quantrill, Cleveland Guardians

Quantrill was not great in his first game against the Yankees as he finished with 11.1 DK points and he is more just of an alternative option to Cole tonight as he does not have the same upside and he has a tougher matchup.

Aaron Judge, New York Yankees

No hitter provides more upside than the big bat of Judge, who could sway a pair of long balls on any given night. He actually had reverse splits this year too, slashing .322/.436/.706 against righties, compared to .274/.388/.622 against lefties.

Giancarlo Stanton, New York Yankees

If you want to get a little different from the prime options of pitchers or Judge, Stanton is your next best bet. He has four home runs over his last 10 games and that is exactly what we would be banking on if we are selecting him as an option tonight. He slashed .220/.305/.492 against righties this year, compared to .185/.274/.379 against southpaws.

Utility

Harrison Bader, New York Yankees

Bader has owned Quantrill, going 4-5 (.800) with two bombs against him in his career. I love that obviously, but I also love the fact that Bader has two dingers in his past three games and is a stolen base threat as well. Bader has always been a streaky hitter and it looks like he could be at the start of the hot streak right now. He is also super cheap, so I expect a lot of lineups will include Bader today.

Oswaldo Cabrera, New York Yankees

Cabrera homered and doubled in Game 3 to finish with 23 dk points. He has a solid .831 OPS over his last 10 games with three dingers and he is on the cheaper side of plays tonight.

Aaron Hicks, New York Yankees

Hicks draws his first start of the series tonight and while he is far from an exciting play, he is one of the very few punt options in this game as he has an extremely cheap price tag and opens the door up for other plays.

Josh Naylor, Cleveland Guardians

Naylor is 4-15 (.267) with two dingers against Cole in his career. He has a home run, three doubles, and eight RBI over his last 10 games. He slashed .283 /334/.522 against righties this season with 19 home runs, compared to .173/.276/.236 against lefties with one home run.

Oscar Gonzalez, Cleveland Guardians

The rookie has shown no issue with the spotlight of the MLB playoffs as he already has two walk-offs and we haven't even made it to the league championship series round yet. He is slashing .326/.356/.442 over his last 10 games with a home run and 11 R+RBI. The fact that he is on the cheaper side of possible plays today is just a bonus.

Gabriel Arias, Cleveland Guardians

Arias drew the start yesterday and he had a nice game, going 2-4 with a double and a run scored; that game has earned him another start today as he will man first base. He is one of the cheapest starters.
