That said, for much of this season, the A’s have really struggled with southpaws outside of power numbers and Ray gets to pitch in a favorable pitchers park. All we need is 5.2 innings from Ray here tonight to push and six full innings for us to get the win.

Brown also has 77 strikeouts over 73 innings during that stretch and in just two of the 12 starts has he allowed more than two earned runs. His matchup tonight is against the Pittsburgh Pirates, a team that ranks 29th in wOBA, 28th in ISO and 27th in batting average against right-handed pitching.
