Walker Buehler PrizePicks MLB Pick: More Than 2.5 Earned Runs

We kick off PrizePicks MLB DFS today with a demon projection for Walker Buehler’s earned run total set at 2.5 in his return matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers. Buehler has not had a great season to date, injuries aside, as he has allowed at least three earned runs in six of his eight starts this year.

Buehler also struggled at the minor league level, posting an ERA over 5.00 in eight Triple-A starts. His matchup today against the Brewers will not be an easy one as Milwaukee is a top 10 team in wOBA and ISO against right-handed pitching over the last 30 days.

This is one of my favorite overall plays of the entire day. Ray has been a strikeout machine since coming off of the injured list this season, boasting a K/9 of 12.39 with a 33.3% strikeout rate.

The Atlanta Braves, over the last 30 days, have the highest strikeout rate in baseball against left-handed pitching, and in this series alone we saw Blake Snell strikeout 11 on Monday and then Kyle Harrison had six strikeouts over five innings last night. Ray is built to pitch deep into games, and with his strikeout rate in this matchup, we could be checking this pick for PrizePicks MLB DFS today off as a win fairly early.
