PrizePicks MLB Picks Today: Sunday, 3/29

Jesus Luzardo PrizePicks MLB Pick: More Than 6.5 Strikeouts

Jesus Luzardo had an up-and-down 2025 season. In his first year with the Philadelphia Phillies, the left-hander posted a 3.92 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. The highs included 216 strikeouts, which was tied for the fourth-most in the majors with Paul Skenes. Let’s count on that strikeout stuff showing up in his 2026 debut outing.

The Texas Rangers just struck out 10 times against Phillies lefty Cristopher Sanchez on Thursday. This continues a trend we saw last year as the Rangers struggled to hit southpaws. The offense had just a .225 batting average and .286 wOBA vs. left-handed pitching in 2025, ranking 27th and 26th in MLB, respectively.

Luzardo, meanwhile, is coming off a strong Spring Training. He rocked a 2.70 ERA across four outings, while striking out 19 over 16.2 total innings. He can take advantage of this Texas offense that also struck out 13 times against Phillies pitching yesterday, including seven for starter Aaron Nola

Luzardo brings in some strong home numbers to trust. He had a 31.0% strikeout rate and an 11.2 K/9 rate at home last year with Philadelphia, in addition to a 2.50 FIP in his home starts. The lefty also recorded seven or more strikeouts in 11 of his 16 home starts last season. That includes seven or more strikeouts in seven straight home outings to end the regular season, averaging 8.6 Ks per start.

Chase DeLauter PrizePicks MLB Pick: More Than 0.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs

So, Chase DeLauter might just be the real deal. The Cleveland Guardians' rookie homered twice on Opening Day and then went deep again on both Friday and Saturday. If you’re keeping score at home, that’s four home runs in his first three MLB games with at least one in each.

Of course, this hot streak with homers in consecutive games is bound to end. Yet, we have to ride DeLauter until he cools off. The MLB top prospect was also on fire in Spring Training, batting .459 with a 1.373 OPS. It seems he’s carried that over into the regular season.

Emerson Hancock, today’s starter for the Seattle Mariners, had just a 4.90 ERA and 1.38 WHIP last year. He wasn’t any better at home, either, with a 4.98 ERA. DeLauter can keep it going against the right-handed Hancock, who allowed an .844 OPS and .494 SLG to lefty hitters last season.
