MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Starting Pitchers
MLB DFS Top Pitchers
Tarik Skubal (LAD)
Analysis: The Dodgers shook the baseball world by adding the two-time Cy Young winner to their already stacked roster over the weekend. Skubal will make his debut at Wrigley Field against an offense that has been elite against left-handed pitching this season, but it just doesn't matter. He is as matchup-proof as anyone in baseball and is worth spending up for, even on a slate loaded with offense.
Logan Henderson (MIL)
Analysis: Henderson has been dominant for the Brewers this season, posting a 2.66 ERA across nine starts. The Brewers have been cautious with their prized prospect to this point, but they might be loosening the leash a bit as he threw a season-high 93 pitches last time out. It was the first time he exceeded 85 pitches this season. The Pirates are a formidable group against righties, but they have also whiffed at the fifth-highest rate in baseball.
Ryan Weathers (NYY)
Analysis: I thought Weathers would be sneaky on this slate, but it appears he is drawing a bit more ownership than expected. St. Louis hasn't been good against lefties (95 wRC+), but they also don't strike out (18.1% K%). Weathers is capable of generating his own swing and miss, even in tougher matchups, so there is still upside here. If looking for something a little more off the radar, a pivot to Trey Yesavage is viable.
MLB DFS Value Pitchers
MacKenzie Gore (TEX)
Analysis: Gore has dealt with some inconsistency this season, but has pitched quite a bit better than his 4.77 ERA would indicate. Every ERA estimator has him nearly a full run better, and he's posted a healthy 26% strikeout rate. The matchup against San Francisco and an attractive price tag leave him projected to be the most popular pitcher on the slate. The Giants have managed just a 91 wRC+ against lefties this season, and they just traded away two of their better hitters.
Jared Jones (PIT)
Analysis: Jones draws a tough matchup against Milwaukee, but it is hard to ignore the dominant stretch he has put together. Over his last five starts, Jones owns a 2.00 ERA with a 33.7% strikeout rate and 6.7% walk rate. The leash is still a bit of a concern as he was back under 80 pitches again last start, but his extreme efficiency and ability to generate whiffs leave him with plenty of upside at this price.
Patrick Sandoval (BOS)
Analysis: After more than two years between big league starts, Sandoval sure looks to be back in excellent form. He has been slowly ramping up since his season debut at the beginning of July as his pitch count has increased in each start. He topped the 90-pitch mark in his last outing, which is likely to be indicative of the workload going forward. Tonight, he gets a high-upside matchup against a White Sox offense that strikes out at the ninth-highest rate against lefties.

MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Stacks & Hitters
MLB DFS Top Hitters
Junior Caminero (3B, TB) & Jonathan Aranda (1B, TB)
Analysis: Caminero has been one of the best hitters in baseball this season, and Aranda is coming off a four-hit outburst in the series opener. They both own a wOBA above .370 against right-handed pitching this season, with Aranda at a .194 ISO and Caminero at a .274 ISO.
Kody Clemens (2B/OF, MIN)
Analysis: Clemens is enjoying a breakout season in which he owns a .239 ISO against righties. Dobnak has been incredibly lucky in his small 26-inning sample, with a .238 BABIP and a 99% strand rate. He doesn't miss bats, and he posted a 4.35 ERA/5.76 xERA in Triple-A this season.
Shohei Ohtani (1B/OF, LAD) & Max Muncy (3B, LAD)
Analysis: Hitting conditions are favorable in Wrigley with a slight wind blowing out. Assad has lucked his way into a 3.75 ERA this season, but even with the respectable surface-level results, lefties have still pummeled him for a .233 ISO. Ohtani and Muncy are both above .230 ISO against righties this year.
Mickey Moniak (OF, COL) & Cole Carrigg (OF, COL)
Analysis: The Rockies are flying under the radar tonight against the respected name of Peralta. However, he has been quite vulnerable this season, especially to lefties who have touched him up for a .209 ISO. The Rays will probably get him on track before the playoffs, but he draws a tough landing spot in Coors for his start with his new team. Moniak and Carrigg both have elite numbers against righties this season.
MLB DFS Value Hitters
Cedric Mullins (OF, TB)
Analysis: Mullins' power/speed combo should really play up in Coors. He's up to 13 home runs and 17 steals on the season, with all of his homers coming off righties. Hughes has been quite good in a small sample, but Coors eventually makes a victim of even the best pitchers. There is also a really shaky bullpen behind him.
Royce Lewis (1B/2B, MIN) & Trevor Larnach (OF, MIN)
Analysis: I'm just not buying anything Dobnak has done this season, and the Twins are extremely affordable outside of Clemens and Jeffers. Kauffman Stadium has played extremely hitter-friendly this season, and temperatures are expected to be in the 90s. Lewis owns a 120 wRC+ and .226 ISO since being recalled from the minors, and Larnach is putting together a career year with a 135 wRC+.
Kyle Stowers (1B, MIA)
Analysis: Stowers broke out in a big way last season. He got off to a slow start this year, but he has recently returned to form. Since June 1st, Stowers has posted a 129 wRC+ and a .285 ISO. Holmes has been tagged by lefties for a .198 ISO this season, and Truist Park is a nice upgrade for lefty power compared to Stowers' home park.
Max Clark (OF, DET)
Analysis: Clark has wasted no time acclimating to the big leagues, notching six hits already through his first three games. He is still too cheap for his talent level, and Hancock has a .201 xISO to lefties this season.

MLB DFS Lineups: Core MLB DFS Hitters & Pitchers
| The "Chalk" (Popular) | The "Pivot" (Low Owned) | The Winning Logic |
| Gore (SP, chalk) | Sandoval (SP, lower owned) | Gore gets an elite matchup, but Sandoval comes with a discount in both salary and ownership. Sandoval has plenty of upside now that he has worked his pitch count up to 90+ last time out. |
| Rays (Chalk) | Rockies (pivot stack) | Peralta will likely right the ship with the Rays down the stretch of the season, but this is his first start with the team, and he's pitching in Coors Field. |
| Diaz + Hicks (chalk) | Rumfield + Goodman (lower owned) | Play the lower-owned side of the game in the elite hitting environment. |
