Â
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.
The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.
The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.
The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.
Check out the MLB DFS Livestream to get an initial outlook on the day's MLB DFS slate to give you a good base for the start of your research each day!Â

MLB Weather: Wednesday, 6/11
Washington Nationals @ New York Mets
There is wind blowing out up upwards of 10 MPH to center field and that's a nice bump to bats. Also 80 degrees at game time.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Kris Bubic, Kansas City Royals
Kris Bubic has been dominant this year. Absolutely incredible. There's not a whole lot to say other than that. So have the Yankees against left-handed pitching this year and it's 90 degrees at first pitch in Kansas City. We know how offense pops there in this type of weather. Bubic is a pivot off of the likes of Ray and Peterson if you want someone lower owned.
Robbie Ray, San Francisco Giants
Is Robbie Ray going to mess around and win another Cy Young? He's been unbelievable. He's had 22+ DKP in eight straight games and is coming off 30.8 DKP last time out. He faces an awful Rockies offense that strikes out a lot. Not a lot else to say here other than the inherit risk because they're in Coors.
David Peterson, New York Mets
Washington is a very heavy-lefty laden lineup and that's an issue facing off against David Peterson. Peterson's as solid as they come and the strikeouts are even trending up. He's faced the Dodgers twice and the Yankees in three of his last four starts and notched a QS in each. The Nats are 20th in OPS and have a 23.5% K-rate against LHP this year. Peterson's one of my favorite pitchers of the day.
David Festa, Minnesota Twins
This is going to be interesting because Festa is going to be extrmeely popular and under the hood, the numbers are much better than they appear. Texas does have a bunch of right-handed bats and that's what Festa has been crushed by this year. He has a 28% K-rate this year and is averaging 11.3 K/9 this season. Texas has been a bottom-five offense vs. RHP this season.
Sean Burke, Chicago White Sox
So Houston still isn't very good and having an all-right handed lineup doesn't seem to be working too well. Over the last month, Houston ranks 23rd in OPS, 22nd in wOBA, and 21st in wRC+. Sean Burke's pitching extremely well right now and has notched 17 DKP or more in three straight starts. He's only 6.5K.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.
Core MLB DFS Hitters
Meet the Mets..Meets the Mets..Step Right up and Greet the Mets!
The Mets are easily one of my favorite stacks of the day, if not my number one stack of the day. They have a bunch of lefties they can throw at Jake Irvin and that's where he struggles. Lefties have a .215 ISO, .287 xISO, .345 wOBA, and .407 xwOBA against Irvin.
The Mets top lefties vs. right-handed hurlers:
- Francisco Lindor: .202 ISO, .216 xISO, .367 wOBA, .372 xwOBA, 10 HR
- Juan Soto: .206 ISO, .325 xISO, .346 wOBA, .443 xwOBA, 9 HR
- Brandon Nimmo: .192 ISO, .198 xISO, .314 wOBA, .340 xwOBA, 7 HR
- Jeff McNeil: .266 ISO, .156 xISO, .368 wOBA, .344 xwOBA, 6 HR
- Ronny Mauricio: .286 ISO, .410 xISO, .463 wOBA, .500 xISO
- Brett Baty: .234 ISO, .235 xISO, .308 wOBA, .322 xwOBA, 7 HR
I'd also never tell you NOT to play Pete Alonso. He fits perfectly into a Mets stack.
Buehler to be Stung by Rays
Walkher Buehler has been horrible this year and has had two starts in a row in which he's allowed 5 ER and has allowed 2 HR in each.
Buehler vs. LHH: .140 ISO, .160 xISO, .379 wOBA, .360 xwOBA, 19% K, 4.59 xFIP
Buehler vs. RHH: .262 ISO, .214 xISO, .328 wOBA, .340 xwOBA, 22% K, 2.35 HR/9
Brandon Lowe, Jonathan Aranda, Junior Caminero, Yandy Diaz, and Christopher Morel make for a nice five-pack stack. Junior Caminero is my favorite of the bunch.
Red Sox HR Upside
There are home runs to be hit here. The ballpark is great and and they face a pitcher that allows a bunch of homers. Home runs are the name of the game and you could get a bunch of them from Rafael Devers, Roman Anthony, Jarren Duran, Abraham Toro, and Marcelo Mayer.
Sneaky Twins
I'm on record talking about how Jack Leiter has largely been lucky this year. A lot of numbers under the hood look BAD for Leiter. Righties have a .100 ISO and .279 wOBA but a .181 xISO and .347 xwOBA. Lefties only have a .138 ISO and .271 wOBA but .199 xISO and .344 xwOBA.
The Twins have some good numbers against righties;
- Byron Buxton: .209 ISO, .213 xISO, .337 wOBA, .320 xwOBA, 8 HR
- Trevor Larnach: .187 ISO, .185 xISO, .354 wOBA, .360 xwOBA, 9 HR
- Matt Wallner: .253 ISO, .276 xISO, .369 wOBA, .394 xwOBA, 4 HR
- Royce Lewis: .101 ISO, .228 xISO, .234 wOBA, .360 xwOBA
- Willi Castro: .172 ISO, .790 OPS, .348 wOBA
- Kody Clemens: .878 OPS, .291 ISO, .379 wOBA
Giants in Coors
Kyle Freeland, although he's not all that bad of a pitcher, has been terrible at home this season. He's pitched to a 7.71 ERA in Coors and righties at Coors have a .443/.469/.636 slash along with a .470 wOBA against Freeland. Lefties, in only 8.2 IP, have a .281 AVG and .325 wOBA against him in Colorado.
Heliot Ramos stands out against lefties, posting an .842 OPS and .197 ISO. Tyler Fitzgerald sits at an .804 OPS and .376 wOBA. Wilmer Flores hasn't been great, but his .175 ISO is legit. Jung Hoo Lee is the best lefty-lefty batter SF has posting a .246 ISO and .383 wOBA against him.
I don't hate the ideas of Willy Adames, Jerar Encarnacion, and Casey Schmitt. Schmitt has the best underlying numbers of the three against lefties.
Tigers Lefties vs. Eflin (FanDuel only)
I know Zach Eflin has pitched better of late, but he struggles mightily against left-handed hitters. Lefties have a .311 ISO, .247 xISO, .369 wOBA, and .335 xwOBA.
The Tigers have some GOOD lefties in Riley Greene, Kerry Carpenter, Parker Meadows, Wenceel Perez, and Zach McKinstry.
