Published: Sep 13, 2025
Welcome to the Fantasy Alarm MLB DFS Playbook for Sunday, September 14th!Â
Let’s start the week on the right foot with some winning lineups today. We have a 9-game main slate in store for us this evening on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 1:35 PM ET. Today, we have plenty of talent on the diamond and many different ways to build your lineup. Our expert analysis is here to guide you through the top pitchers, value plays, and stackable offenses to target.
Whether chasing big GPP prizes or grinding cash games, we’ve got you covered with insights tailored to today’s matchups. Let’s jump right into the key plays and strategies to dominate the slate!
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.
The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.
The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.
The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Shane Bieber, Toronto Blue Jays
The top priced pitcher of the slate could also be the best pitcher of the main slate. Bieber draws an elite matchup against the Orioles who have struggled mightily against righties since the trade deadline. They rank 28th in OPS and wOBA while also striking out nearly 26% of the time against righties. Bieber has missed bats at a solid clip striking out at least six batters in three of four starts. Love him in this spot.
Framber Valdez, Houston Astros
The Braves have been OK against lefties since the trade deadline but Framber Valdez is an elite pitcher. After a tough start against the Yankees, he bounced back against the Rangers and fired seven innings with a quality start. He's going to be the highest owned pitcher of the day.
Shota Imanaga, Chicago Cubs
The ownership on Shota Imanaga is too low, man. I really like the matchup and he should be considered on the same tier as Valdez and Bieber. He has the Rays today and winds are blowing IN at 10 MPH. Since the deadline, the Rays are 24th or worse in OPS, wOBA, ISO, and wRC+ against left-handed hurlers and have a 26% K-rate, too. Imanaga is riding a quality start streak of seven games.
Slade Cecconi, Cleveland Guardians
The White Sox have hit the skids a bit lately and since the break, they're ranking in the bottom-half of the league in all major offensive categories. Cecconi has three quality starts in four outings and in the one in which he didn't he had eight strikeouts. The price is solid and so is the win equity.
Nabil Crismatt, Arizona Diamondbacks
The Twins are struggling. It's not as if Crismatt is great, but the Twins are worse. Crismatt has pitched well thus far through five outings and the price is the one thing that stands out the most.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.
Core MLB DFS Hitters
All in on Tigers Against Mazur
The Tigers are going to be chalky but that's OK. If the Marlins are going to send Adam Mazur to the mound I understand it completely. Mazur has been quite terrible on the mound.
vs. LH - .320 ISO, .277 xISO, .456 wOBA, .398 xwOBA, 10.5% K
vs. RH - .102 ISO, .174 xISO, .278 wOBA, .362 xwOBA, 16.7% K
The Tigers are popular but what's not to like here? Here's some numbers vs. RHP;
- Riley Greene - .299 ISO, .329 xISO, .381 wOBA, .383 xwOBA
- Kerry Carpenter - .267 ISO, .266 xISO, .358 wOBA, .362 xwOBA
- Parker Meadows - .146 ISO, .157 xISO, .295 wOBA, .327 xwOBA
- Colt Keith - .174 ISO, .205 xISO, .336 wOBA, .361 xwOBA
- Spencer Torkelson - .193 ISO, .215 xISO, .319 wOBA, .333 xwOBA
Sneaky Marlins
The Tigers are going to deploy Keider Montero as the starter and how long he goes is in question, but they're going to also use Jose Urquidy in some capacity who hasn't pitched since last season due to undergoing Tommy John surgery.
Starting with Montero, lefties have crushed him this year. Lefties have a .261 ISO, .261 xISO, .402 wOBA, and .399 xwOBA. Righties haven't had that much success, but I'm not shying away from them in a stack.
Jakob Marsee with his .210 ISO and .398 wOBA is where I'd start. If Xavier Edwards returns to the lineup because he's in the correct split as well. Liam Hicks and Troy Johnston are solid from the left side, too. Otto Lopez has better splits against righties and Augustin Ramirez has a TON of power.
Brewers Draw Mikolas Matchup
Lefties hit Miles Mikolas hard. Righties hit Miles Mikolas hard. The Cardinals bullpen coughed up a game yesterday that in no way shape or form they should have either. This could be a FLOOD for the Brewers.
vs. LH - .223 ISO, .263 xISO, .359 wOBA, .368 xwOBA
vs. RH - .188 ISO, .211 xISO, .326 wOBA, .355 xwOBA
Brewers are good against right-handers;
- Brice Turang - .182 ISO, .205 xISO, .357 wOBA, .362 xwOBA
- Christian Yelich - .237 ISO, .232 xISO, .369 wOBA, .364 xwOBA
- Jackson Chourio - .193 ISO, .182 xISO, .318 wOBA, .308 xwOBA
- Sal Frelick - .143 ISO, .349 wOBA
- William Contreras - .157 ISO, .153 xISO, .342 wOBA, .336 xwOBA
- Andrew Vaughn - .161 ISO, .207 xISO, .280 wOBA, .338 xwOBA
If Jake Bauers cracks the lineup, he's been great lately too.
Phitin' Phills
The Phillies have a really good balance of hitters against left-handed pitching. I'm absolutely down to use some Phillies today against Noah Cameron. There top three of Harrison Bader, Kyle Schwarber, and Bryce Harper all have a .187 ISO or better against lefties.
Rounding out the stack with J.T. Realmuto, Edmundo Sosa (if he plays), and Otto Kemp fit perfectly.
Best One Off's / Mini Stacks
- Vinnie Pasquantino, Kansas City Royals
- Jose Ramirez, Cleveland Guardians
- Vladimir Guerrero & George Springer, Toronto Blue Jays
