Whether chasing big GPP prizes or grinding cash games, we’ve got you covered with insights tailored to today’s matchups. Let’s jump right into the key plays and strategies to dominate the slate!
Â
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.
The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.
The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.
The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.
Tune into the MLB DFS Livestream at 5 PM ET to watch us break down today’s slate, give you last-minute advice, and answer any questions before locking in those lineups!

MLB Weather: Monday, 7/7
Pittsburgh Pirates @ Kansas City Royals
- A decent chance of rain and thunderstorms that could cause a delay, but there shouldn't be a postponement.
Miami Marlins @ Cincinnati Reds
- Rain and thunderstorms here as well. This game will almost certainly have a delayed start, and there is a reasonable chance that it will be fully postponed.Â

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Jacob deGrom, Texas Rangers
I love deGrom as a top option today. He has 6 straight quality starts, where he has won 5 of those and has struck out at least 6 in each of his last 5. The Angels have the second-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers behind only the Rockies this season, and deGrom’s slider should tear them apart.Â
Cristopher Sanchez, Philadelphia Phillies
Cristopher Sanchez also has 6 straight quality starts, going 7 innings in 3 of those starts and 8 innings in another. He has also put up a 9-strikeout game and an 11-strikeout game in that stretch. The San Francisco Giants have been pretty poor offensively, and especially against lefties with an over 25% strikeout rate.Â
Landen Roupp, San Francisco Giants
Landen Roupp offers a solid option on the more affordable end today. He has been pitching pretty well recently, and he pitched better in his last outing against Arizona than his line suggests, as he was hurt by a particularly tight strike zone. The Phillies are a good offense, but not one that I am terrified of, and I like the upside that Roupp has at home and is a great price.Â
Richard Fitts, Boston Red Sox
I think people will shy away from Fitts seeing the 3 innings and 1 strikeout in his last outing against the Reds, but it was the rain that stopped his outing, and despite the 1 strikeout, he was sitting 97 MPH and up. He also had 6 strikeouts in 4 innings in his previous outing against the Angels, so I really like his ceiling with the Rockies on the road in this outing.Â

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.
Core MLB DFS Hitters
Josh Naylor, 1B Arizona Diamondbacks
I am excited for Yu Darvish to be back on the mound, but I am expecting some hiccups, and he likely won’t be going deep into the game. Josh Naylor has been crushing the ball recently, slashing .347/.393/.520 over the last month. The Diamondbacks' offense is fantastic, and I like backing them today, even against a pitcher I love in Darvish.Â
Isaac Paredes, 3B Houston Astros
Paredes has hits in 7 of his last 8 games, including 5 multi-hit games and 2 homers. I like Tanner Bibee, but he has had some mixed results lately, and the Astros' offense has been hitting the ball incredibly well, with Paredes being a big part of it. I like his price today and think the production will continue.Â
Trevor Story, SS Boston Red Sox
Trevor Story is absolutely demolishing the baseball right now. He is on an 8-game hit streak, during which he has accumulated 15 hits, 3 home runs, 4 doubles, and 3 steals. He is red-hot, and it should be easy to keep the hot streak going against Austin Gomber and the Colorado Rockies.Â
Ceddanne Rafaela, OF Boston Red Sox
This is more than just a recent hot streak for Ceddanne. If you go all the way back to the end of May, he is slashing .306/.338/.589 with 8 homers and 4 steals. I think that the Red Sox are a decent team to stack right now as they have had a hot offense and are facing the Rockies, but at the very least, Story and Rafaela are too cheap not to want to fit in your lineups.Â
