Guardians vs. White Sox: Pitching Matchup

Gavin Williams, Cleveland Guardians

Williams closed out Game 4 after the Guardians burned through seven other pitchers to secure the win. He used just 18 pitches to get through the inning, so he is not expected to be limited for Game 5. Of course, the hook is always quick in an elimination game, but as long as the “Big Rig” is pitching well, he'll be out there. He pitched well against the White Sox in Game 2, allowing two runs and racking up 11 strikeouts.

Sean Burke, Chicago White Sox

Burke was dominant out of the bullpen in Game 2, tossing 5.1 innings of one-run ball and recording six strikeouts. He will make a traditional start in the Game 5 eliminator. The towering righty put together a strong season, posting a 3.34 ERA across 172.1 innings.

Guardians vs White Sox Preview: Key Players to Watch

Jose Ramirez, 3B (Guardians)

Ramirez caught fire just in time to save the Guardians' season. The future Hall of Famer went 4-for-9 with three extra-base hits and a stolen base in the last two games to spark the offense. He needs to continue to be a catalyst if the Guardians hope to advance.

DraftKings CPT: $13,500 | DraftKings UTIL: $9,000 | FanDuel MVP: $18,300 | FanDuel UTIL: $12,200

Munetaka Murakami, 1B (White Sox)

There is extreme strikeout risk, but also extreme upside for Murakami in this matchup. Williams posted a massive 35% strikeout rate against lefties, but he also allowed an 11.4% barrel rate, plus a .173 xISO against left-handed batters. Murakami smashed 35 home runs this season and posted a .302 ISO against right-handed pitching.

DraftKings CPT: $14,100 | DraftKings UTIL: $9,400 | FanDuel MVP: $17,700 | FanDuel UTIL: $11,800

Miguel Vargas, 3B (White Sox)

Vargas launched a late home run in Game 4, and he's reached base safely in each game of the series. He posted a healthy .208 ISO against right-handed pitching in his massive breakout season.

DraftKings CPT: $13,800 | DraftKings UTIL: $9,200 | FanDuel MVP: $19,500 | FanDuel UTIL: $13,000

Chase DeLauter, OF (Guardians)

DeLauter is 4-for-12 over the last three games and matches up well with Burke. He doesn't have an extra-base hit in the series, but Burke did allow some power (.175 ISO) to lefties this season.

DraftKings CPT: $10,500 | DraftKings UTIL: $7,000 | FanDuel MVP: $14,100 | FanDuel UTIL: $9,400

Travis Bazzana, 2B (Guardians)

Bazzana has a pair of doubles and three walks across 16 plate appearances in the series. He posted a healthy .211 ISO against right-handed pitching this year. His positional eligibility isn't a factor in single-game and showdown formats, but he's still one of the better options on the slate.

DraftKings CPT: $11,100 | DraftKings UTIL: $7,400 | FanDuel MVP: $12,900 | FanDuel UTIL: $8,600

Sam Antonacci, OF (White Sox)

Antonacci has been an on-base machine all season, and he adds some stolen base upside. He's been on base six times in the last two games despite recording just one hit.

DraftKings CPT: $12,900 | DraftKings UTIL: $8,600 | FanDuel MVP: $11,400 | FanDuel UTIL: $7,600

Nathaniel Lowe, 1B (Guardians)

Lowe hits in the middle of the lineup and posted a .214 ISO against righties this year. That suggests incredible upside for one of the more affordable hitters on the slate.

DraftKings CPT: $8,400 | DraftKings UTIL: $5,600 | FanDuel MVP: $7,200 | FanDuel UTIL: $4,800
