He’ll take on Tomoyuki Sugano of the Rockies at Yankee Stadium with double-digit winds blowing “out-ish.” Rice has a .929 OPS and .299 ISO on the year against RHP, and at Yankee Stadium, he boasts a .280 ISO for the year. When at Yankee Stadium against a RHP, he has a .507 SLG and a .276 ISO.

Since the calendar flipped to August, Sugano has a 7.76 ERA and 1.86 HR/9 across 29 IP, and for the entire 2026 season, he’s served up a .572 SLG and 2.44 HR/9 to left-handed hitters. Oh, if you thought Sugano’s numbers would be better away from Coors Field, you’ll likely be surprised by this. His walk rate, HR/9, batting average against, WHIP, FIP, ERA, and wOBA against are all higher on the road than at home!

 

Rafael Devers ParlayPlay MLB Pick: OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

It might be rather difficult to find a hotter hitter over the last two weeks than Devers, who boasts a .421/.522/.982 line over his last 15 games. He’s been a nightmare for opposing right-handed pitchers since the calendar flipped to August, posting a 1.450 OPS. Andre Pallante’s numbers under the hood are less impressive than the raw stats of late, and he’s had problems with lefties in his career. With the Giants starting as many as six or seven left-handed hitters today, I like Devers to have numerous chances with runners on base, and again, there may not be a hotter hitter on the planet right now than Devers.
