Drafters MLB Pick'em: Anthony Volpe Under 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs

Why would we EVER believe Anthony Volpe would be over 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI in one game, let alone an entire week? During the month of August, he’s slashed .160/.203/.320 and has a 41 wRC+. He’s been the worst player in baseball. Through four starts, Cade Cavalli has a 2.82 ERA and a 3.4 xFIP, suggesting he’s been an above-average pitcher. Volpe has a 24.5% K-rate along with a .273 wOBA against right-handed pitching. It’s hard to imagine he gets an at-bat at the end of the game if it’s competitive, too.

Lefties have not given Jakob Marsee much issue in his young career at the major league level, and he’s in a matchup that presents an opportunity to keep that going against Braves left-hander, Joey Wentz. Marsee has a .500 ISO and .451 wOBA against lefties, and although his expected numbers are lower than that, they’re still elite at .358 xISO and .440 xwOBA. Joey Wentz, on the other hand, has been incredibly lucky against lefties, posting a .108 ISO and .313 wOBA but a .232 xISO and .368 xwOBA on the year.
