                                        Homer Bailey Throws 2nd No-hitter
Pitchers
Homer Bailey-SPÂ Reds
Homer Bailey pitches a no-hitter in Cincinnati Reds' 3-0 win over the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, the second of his career. Bailey was also responsible for the most recent no-hitter, which he tossed against the Pirates on September 28th of last season. Bailey became the first pitcher since Nolan Ryan (1974 and 1975) to throw consecutive no-hitters. It may come as a surprise to some, but Bailey is only 27-years old and appears to be in the process of matching the high expectations that were placed on him after being the seventh overall pick back in 2004. Bailey's major obstacle had been his health as he had missed a combined 149 days between 2010 and 2011. Bailey is experiencing career highs in K/9 and  K/BB, and still has the potential to improve going forward, as strange as this may sound for a guy who just threw his second no-hitter. Bailey's peripherals show he has been somewhat unlucky this season as his ERA was sitting at 3.88 coming into Tuesday game while he had a FIP of 2.77. In addition, Bailey's BABIP was over .300 while is strand rate was under 68%. So, if you had any thoughts of trying to sell high on Bailey, it appears you may reap more benefits by holding on to him.
Hiroki Kuroda-SPÂ Yankees
Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Hiroki Kuroda had an MRI on his sore left hip flexor. The MRI came back clean, but Kuroda will miss his next start.
Jeremy Hefner-PÂ Mets
Jeremy Hefner pitched seven innings of one run ball allowing just four hits, two walks, and struck out six in the win over the DBacks Tuesday.Fantasy Owners time you recognize Jeremy Hefner! I used to joke that Jeremy got pounded more than Hugh, but that's a thing of the past. Jeremy Hefner has not allowed more than one run in five of his last six starts (allowed only two runs in the other one). The strikeout numbers are a little low at under seven per nine and the wins may a little hard to come by, but Hefner is proving to be a pitcher you can relay on to keep your ERA and WHIP down. Hitters
Jason Kipnis-2BÂ Indians
Jason Kipnis has hit in 13 straight games and reached base in 33 consecutive games after going 1-for-4 with two runs scored as the Indians won their fifth straight Tuesday 6-5 over the Royals. Indians are in first place in the American League Central. Going into Tuesday's games, Jason Kipnis was the top overall Fantasy Player over the last 30 days, in which he was hitting .409 (38-for-93) with four home runs, 17 runs scored, 25 RBI, and nine stolen bases.
Yasiel Puig-OFÂ Dodgers
Yasiel Puig went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, an RBI, and two runs scored in the Dodgers 8-0 win over the Rockies Tuesday.Another game, another multi-hit performance from Yasiel Puig, his 15th in 27 games to raise his average to .443 on the season to go with eight home runs, 21 runs scored, 17 RBI, and four stolen bases, numbers that put him second to only Jason Kipnis over the last 30 days.
Dexter Fowler-CFÂ Rockies
Rockies placed Dexter Fowler on the 15-day disabled list with a bone bruise in right hand.
Ryan Braun-LFÂ Brewers
Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun was encouraged after swinging the bat Tuesday, but the Brewers remain prepared to play without him until after the All-Star break. Ryan Braun is recovering from a hand injury and Tuesday was the first time he picked up a bat in a week, and all he did was "dry swings."
