MLB Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 9/1 Chicago White Sox vs. Houston Astros Prediction: Tuesday, September 1st

It seems like a daily occurrence at this points in the season but the White Sox just keep putting up runs. They head into this matchup with the Astros having recorded 24 runs over their last five games and they'll get to tee off on Ronel Blanco tonight as their latest victim. 

Blanco has had it rough since returning to the Astros roster in the end of July with 23.1 innings pitched and 20 earned runs against! During that time he has also given up seven home runs and 22 total hits. These are poor numbers heading into a matchup with a White Sox offense that ranks 8th in isolated power over the past couple of weeks. Blanco has been especially weak against the lefty side of the dish as well allowing a .286 average and .992 OPS. Sam Antonacci is in the best spot for the White Sox tonight as he's hitting .333 with a .964 OPS over the past week. As a dangerous lefty I must take the over on his hits/runs/RBIs hitting in the leadoff spot. 

On top of that let's dial up the over on the game total for this one. Both teams are hitting well in BABIP and isolated power and the White Sox pitcher today in Sean Burke has been struggling a bit himself. Over the last five starts his ERA is 4.74 and he has given up 22 hits, should be a run fest here tonight.
