Rays vs. Yankees Predictions: Sunday, May 24th

The final game of this AL East series is underway today as the division leading Rays take on the Yankees up in the Big Apple. It should be an interesting pitchers duel as Drew Rasmussen takes on Ryan Weathers and there is one glaring angle in the matchup!

The Yankees' lineup, for as good as it can be, has struggled with strikeouts over the past couple of weeks. They lead the majors in K-rate at 27.3% and their isolated power mark has fallen to .138. This puts Rasmussen is a great spot today as he's just under a strikeout per nine innings this season and has a whiff rate of over 20%. His line today is 5.5 and while it'll be close and the line is set well by the books, he has topped this number in 5-of-9 starts this season. The odds are also appealing here as they sit at +110 across multiple books. Let's ride the over here today and hope stats and trends hold true again today. 

Guardians vs. Phillies Predictions: Saturday, May 24th

This interleague series is coming to a close as Cleveland and Philadelphia have each one and a game and are looking to grab the rubber match! Good news for the visiting Guardians is that the young Andrew Painter will be on the bump for the Phillies and he's struggled over his four starts in May with a 6.41 ERA and 21 hits over 19.2 innings pitched.

This is where the wagers come into play as Parker Messick will start for Cleveland and he's had himself a heck of season. His 2.45 ERA leads the rotation and his xwOBA of just .285 puts him in the well above average category of MLB pitchers right now. His K% of 28.3 and the fact he's a lefty will be a struggle for the Phillies today and with the Cleveland offense expected to tee off against Painter I like the Guardians today on the Money Line as slight road favorites. 

In addition to that let's give some love to the rookie Travis Bazzana, who is on a bit of a hot streak over the past week. He's hitting .346 with an .870 OPS and over 26 at bats he has nine hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. He will hit leadoff today for an offense in a great spot, let's go with him to go over his hits/runs/RBIs prop this afternoon.
