Seattle Mariners vs. Cleveland Guardians: Saturday, June 27th

The Mariners remain in Cleveland today as they get set for the second game of their series against the Guardians! Seattle took the opening game 3-1 and tonight I expect a similar low-scoring effort.

Logan Gilbert will be on the bump for Seattle and he's been in the groove during the month of June. Through his last four starts and 24.2 innings pitched, his ERA is down to 2.19 and he has 31 strikeouts to just six walks. The matchup against a Cleveland offense without Jose Ramirez is a good one for him as the Guardians are the lowest scoring team in MLB this season with just 3.91 runs per game. They also have the highest strikeout rate in MLB over the past two weeks at 28.5%! For a guy like Gilbert who has an elite whiff percentage of over 30%, this should be a great matchup for him to dominate and go over his K-prop.

On the other side of the pitching matchup, it'll be Slade Cecconi going for Cleveland. He's had a bumpy start to the season, but in June, he has buckled up and has a 2.38 ERA over his four starts this month. Those outings came against the Yankees twice, Brewers and Astros; no pushover offenses there. Between Cecconi and Gilbert, I see this one being low scoring, so I will be taking the under in tonight's game on top of the prop.
