Houston Astros vs. Detroit Tigers: Thursday, June 25th

Thursdays often mean some new series hitting the slate and that's what we have today as the Astros visit the Tigers in Detroit! The Tigers are looking to break a two game losing streak today at home where they are 22-18 overall on the season, let's dive into the numbers and see if they can. 

The good news up front for Detroit is that Tatsuya Imai is pitching for the Astros tonight and he's been beat up in June. Over his three starts that spanned 11.2 innings he's given up 15 hits and 10 earned runs. Opposing hitters are also hitting .300 against him during this stretch and he's struggled more against left handed hitting. That's where a player prop comes into play for me as rookie star Kevin McGonigle has hit .286 with a .858 OPS against right handed pitching this season and over the past week his OBP stands at .370! I like the rookie to go over his hits/runs/RBIs prop this evening and in addition to that I like the Tigers money line. Astros have not been a good road team this season and Troy Melton will pitch for the home side with his 2.56 ERA over his first five starts this season.
