San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Predictions: Thursday July 2nd

A rivalry is renewed tonight as the Padres visit the Dodgers for the first meeting of a four game series. It will be Randy Vasquez on the mound for the Padres and that's probably bad news for them as he's allowed an opposing batting average of .384 over 20.2 innings pitched in June and most of the that damage came against lefty hitters. On the season the left side of the plate is hitting .296 with a .853 OPS which includes six home runs. That's where Freddie Freeman comes into play tonight being a fine hitting lefty that he is. Over the past week Freeman is hitting for a .455 average and 1.266 OPS which includes four extra base hits. He will bat third in this ever dangerous Dodgers lineup and I think he goes over his hits/runs/RBIs prop this evening.

In addition to that play I like the Dodgers lineup overall so may as well throw some money behind them. Their prop of 4.5 runs is a bit chalky but Vasquez has been a special kind of bad lately and the Dodgers offense has scored at least five runs in three of their last four games. Dodgers team total over 4.5 at home, lock it in!
