Angels vs. Nationals Prediction: Friday, September 11th

A matchup between two teams running out the clock is on the slate tonight between the Angels and Nationals, but that doesn't mean that there aren't wagers to be made! Yusei Kikuchi will take the hill against Cade Cavalli, and that is quite the mismatch to dive into.

Kikuchi has been mediocre at best since returning from injury and over his three starts, he has given up seven runs and 18 hits in 18 innings pitched. The lefty does not discriminate on the sides of the plate either, with both lefties and righties hitting over .270 against him this season. His ERA on the road this year is also 6.1 with a OBA of .298, so you can say he has the potential to be rocked in D.C. tonight. 

That's where the first wager of the day comes in with backing James Wood. The lefty power hitter has modest numbers against lefties, with nine home runs and a .830 OPS on the season. Recently, over the past week, he has hit .273 with a .816 OPS that includes nine total bases. I like him to go over his hits/runs/RBIs prop tonight in a game that the Nationals should score a bevy of runs. 

On top of that wager, let's give some love to Cade Cavalli, who is having a monster season. Since early August, he's made seven starts and given up just nine earned runs over the course of 42 innings pitched. Fantastic stuff there and he also has collected 50 strikeouts, which is another wager to love considering the Angels have a 26.8% K-rate over the past couple of weeks. Let's go ahead and rock with Cavalli to go over his strikeout prop tonight.
