Welcome to the MLB Best Bets and Betting Picks for Wednesday, May 10. We’ve got a full 15-game slate to look at with quite a few intriguing match-ups. The slate starts early today with the bulk of the games happening in the afternoon, so the lines are already tightening up on us. If you see a line, whether it’s just a straight bet or something you are working on as part of a same game parlay or something, acting quickly seems to be the way to go. We had a mediocre day Monday, but if you listened to yesterday’s Fantasy Alarm Show on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio, we had some rock-solid picks for you that all hit. We’ll see if we can bring that momentum here today.

MLB Best Bets for May 10

Tampa Bay Rays at Baltimore Orioles

After a couple of stumbles, Baltimore righthander Dean Kremer bounced back in his last outing and did a tremendous job stifling a strong Braves lineup to grab his third win in his last four starts. Are we ready to sign off on him here against the Rays now? I get that they’re only 10-5 on the road and I get that they’re going to try and throw lefty Jalen Beeks as an opener, but I’m not buying into it, especially when Tampa Bay is still playing at such a high level. The Rays are still the top-hitting team against righthanded pitching this season and their power numbers over just this past week – 13 HR, .236 ISO – have me wondering why they aren’t a heavier favorite. Maybe it’s because Beeks has been so up-and-down lately, there is concern over some early runs for the Orioles, but not enough to scare me off from this line. I’ll continue to back the Rays as they continue to dominate the early part of their schedule.

Pick: Tampa Bay Rays Money Line (-120 on BetMGM)

Detroit Tigers at Cleveland Guardians

There is no denying how well lefty Eduardo Rodriguez is pitching right now, allowing just two earned runs over his last 34.2 innings (five starts), including eight scoreless frames with 10 strikeouts against these very same Guardians back on April 18. His command has been on-point and the Guardians just cannot seem to get out of their own way against southpaws. In fact, not only are they averaging just 2.6 runs per game over their last 10, they have the lowest team wOBA (.231) over the last seven days and they still own the third-worst wOBA against lefties this season. They just aren’t producing enough runs and that trend should continue again today.

Pick: Cleveland Guardians Team Total under 3.5 runs (-118 on Caesars Sportsbook)

Los Angeles Dodgers at Milwaukee Brewers

With a pair of lefties on the mound for this game, you have to be looking at the game totals. Team totals aren’t bad here either, but neither bullpen has been particularly strong as of late, so instead, we’ll focus on the starters and how the offenses look. To open, the Brewers ranks dead-last in wOBA (.266) and have a strikeout rate close to 31-percent against lefties this season. The Dodgers aren’t faring much better with the seventh-lowest wOBA (.304) with a 27-percent K-rate against them. Clayton Kershaw may not be the ace he once was and I may never be a big Wade Miley fan, but it’s pretty tough to deny how each has fared this season. We’ll look for both to keep the early scoring down for this one, especially with the early start coming off a night game.

Pick: Dodgers/Brewers First 5 Innings under 4 runs (-115 on Caesars Sportsbook)
