Whether is was a long week or a great one for you, welcome at last to Friday! The MLB Best Bets has become a staple for me to kick off the weekend and its been profitable unless you're the Orioles who lost in extra innings this week to blow my perfect betting night. I am a little bitter about that still but either way we have every team in the MLB in action tonight which means a full 15 game slate to wager on. There is a mix of totals, player props and 1st 5 Inning bets I am locked into today and I am ready to put my faith in the Padres offense yet again too. Will I get my heart broken by the boys in San Diego, tonight will tell the story.

  • Tuesday’s Record: 3-1
  • Season Record: 19-13-0
  • Bankroll: +2.06 units

15 games and limitless wagers to watch, here is what I have put together for the start to the weekend!

MLB Best Bets for June 9

San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies

Last week I made this exact same wager on the Padres team total runs against Jameson Taillon and the Cubs and then everything went wrong. I am cautiously optimistic tonight as San Diego heads to Coors Field but the numbers just make too much sense. Upfront I will say that the numbers in the betting market are always going to be inflated when teams play in Colorado so the Padres team total runs sits at 6.5 tonight. They have done well over the last 3 games scoring 5.33 runs and are coming off of a 10 run game from Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners. They also get to face off against Austin Gomber and his ERA of 6.99 this season. His numbers are predictably worse at home too with an ERA of 8.64 and allowing 44 hits over 33.1 innings pitched. 7 runs is always a big ask but at Coors Field and the lineup the Padres have they can get the job done. I am also going to tack on a prop on Juan Soto as he had one of his best games of the season with 5 hits and 4 RBIs in his previous game. He is projected to bat 3rd tonight for the Padres and that's right where he belongs.

Pick: San Diego Padres Team Total Runs Over 6.5 (-105 on BetMGM)

Pick: Juan Soto Over 2.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs (-110 on DraftKings)

Houston Astros at Cleveland Guardians

Betting the under and the Cleveland Guardians have come hand in hand this MLB season as their offense continues to be one of the worst in the league. They had a bit of a spike in production against the Boston Red Sox series but now they go toe to toe with the Houston Astros. The Astros have the lowest team ERA on the season at 3.25 and they will be sending out Cristian Javier to start tonight. Javier is an impressive 7-1 with a 2.84 ERA and 0.99 WHIP on the season and has no signs of slowing down. In his last 4 starts he has also allowed just 1 earned run so things could be slow on offense for the Guardians who already struggle to begin with. Give me the under in this game through just the 1st 5 innings as the pitching in this game should drive things tonight.

Pick: Houston Astros & Cleveland Guardians Under 4.5 Runs 1st 5 Innings (-120 on BetRivers)

Texas Rangers at Tampa Bay Rays

What do you get when the two highest scoring teams face off against each other? I would hope you said to yourself an over bet because that's exactly where I am going! What really hooked me in is the total of just 8 runs across multiple books and the Rays score 5.72 runs per game game and the Rangers score 6.33 runs per game on the season. As a Gen-Z kid would say, the math ain't mathing on this line from the books. Texas has also gone over in 57.6% of their games this season while the Rays are a tick down at 56.5% on totals busting over. The pitching matchup isn't imitating either as Andrew Heaney goes against Tyler Glasnow of which the later has just 2 starts under his belt since a lengthy rehab. The bats will take the forefront tonight and this game is going to be fun to watch.

Pick: Texas Rangers & Tampa Bay Rays Over 8 Runs (-130 on Caesars)
