MLB Best Bets and Betting Picks for June 27
Back in the MLB betting saddle for a new week for me and after a pretty mediocre showing from myself I can't wait to dig into the action for this Tuesday night! We have a full slate of 15 games starting around 7pm eastern which means their are plenty of angles to pay attention too and plenty of time to get your betting card arranged and ready to roll. Today's feature spotlights the league's best offense in the Texas Rangers, a pitching prop from a Toronto Blue Jays ace and a Money Line bet on the Astros who hit the road to the mid-west this week to take on the Cardinals. While there are a dozen wagers that could be followed for tonight's action, here are the select few that were chosen for my MLB Best Bets tonight, June 27th. Let's go get back in the green!

MLB Best Bets for June 27
Detroit Tigers at Texas Rangers
Sometimes baseball is weird and last night was one of those instances as the Tigers hammered the Rangers at home in a 7-2 game. The good thing about a 3-game series though is that things tend to balance out and the better team will eventually grab the upper hand. I feel especially confident in this with the Rangers offense that scores 6.29 runs per game at home this season, the most in the MLB. Tonight they also have an implied run total of 5.54 which gets us a tick over their team total runs prop of 5.5 for the game. The offense will get to face off against Michael Manning who will start for the Tigers today and it'll be his first game back since April 11th from the injured list. In his only 2 starts of the season Manning has a 4.63 ERA and I am thinking he may be rusty tonight, which bodes well for the Texas bettors. Let's not stop at the team total runs though because those runs will lead to some overs in player props and Marcus Semien has my attention. The Rangers second basemen now has a hit in 9 of the last 12 games and has topped 1.5 hits, runs and RBIs in 6 of the last 8 games. He will bat leadoff tonight against the Rangers and that means if he can hit himself on base there will be plenty of hot bats to score him down the line so give me the over on that prop tonight.
Pick: Texas Rangers Team Total Runs Over 5.5 (+105 on DraftKings)
Pick: Marcus Semien Over 1.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs (-155 on DraftKings)
San Francisco Giants at Toronto Blue Jays
Both the Giants and the Blue Jays are trending in the right direction as we near July in the MLB season with the Giants having won 8 of their last 10 and the Blue Jays sitting a solid 7 games over .500. One thing the Giants could improve upon though is the amount of times they strikeout per game. This season the Giants have struck out on average 9.58 times per game which works out to the 3rd highest rate in the MLB. That's pretty bad but guess what, its worse on the road as they strikeout a whopping 10.61 times per game and that's the highest rate in the entire league! Enter Kevin Gausman the starting pitcher for the Blue Jays tonight who has a chance at a massive game tonight given the matchup. Gausman has fallen short of strikeout expectations the last 3 outings but he has a strong track record of topping his prop line tonight of 6.5 Ks, doing it in 10 of his 15 starts already this season. It's likely going to be close at the end but at home this season Gausman has 66 strikeouts on 48.1 innings pitched so I am going to lay some money down on him to continue his dominance tonight.
Pick: Kevin Gausman Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-135 on DraftKings)
Houston Astros at St. Louis Cardinals
It's not many days you'll get the Astros Money Line at good enough odds to wager on but today is indeed one of those days as they visit the Cardinals to begin their series tonight. The Astros have been a good road team all season going 20-17 overall while scoring 4.62 runs per game and allowing just 3.54 runs per game, the 3rd lowest rate in the MLB. They will also get Framber Valdez on the hill today and he's done well at keeping things under control this season. With an impressive ERA of 2.27 and 1.00 WHIP on the season, Valdez has been even better in the month of June allowing just 6 earned runs over 27 innings pitched while collecting 27 strikeouts. That was against teams like the Blue Jays and Angels too, offenses much better than this Cardinals group. St. Louis will have Jordan Montgomery start tonight though and that's likely why the line in so tight for tonight's game as the Cardinals starter has been pretty good overall. I expect a competitive and probably lower scoring game tonight but given the Astros successes this season I have to back them tonight against a Cardinals team that is 14-22 at home.
Pick: Houston Astros Money Line (-105 on WynnBET)
