Favorite Bets: 

CJ Abrams, SS Washington Nationals (+318) – We’re going to ride the hot bat while we can. Abrams is currently riding a seven-game hit streak capped off with five-straight multi-hit performances and two stolen bases over that span. The lefty-swinging infielder has a .423 wOBA against righties, so Max Scherzer shouldn’t be much of an issue, nor would catcher Alejandro Kirk and his 18-percent caught-stealing rate be from behind the dish. Let’s lock him in today.

Longshot:

Travis Bazzana, 2B Cleveland Guardians (+472) – While Jose Ramirez has the better odds to steal a base, everything else lines up significantly better for Bazzana. The lefty-swinging rookie has been a little up-and-down lately, but he posts an impressive .357 wOBA against right-handed pitching with nine stolen bases to his credit. Chase Burns is an excellent pitcher, but he has allowed a slate-high 17 stolen bases this season and is allowing lefties to post a .309 wOBA against him. With Tyler Stephenson and his 18-percent caught-stealing on 61 attempts this year behind the plate, we’ll look to Bazanna to cash this bet for us.
