Best MLB Stolen Base Picks Today:
Locking in the best stolen base predictions means finding the absolute perfect storm of a high-on-base runner and a weak battery. Here are our top two MLB stolen base picks today for Monday, June 1:
Favorite Bets:
Sam Antonacci, Chicago White Sox (+364)
While he’s been quiet the last two games, Antonacci went 6-for-16 in last week’s series against the Twins and he stole two bases, once of which was against Joe Ryan who is on the mound tonight and has allowed 11 stolen bases this season, the most against any starter on tonight’s slate. We also just watched Twins catcher Victor Caratini get roasted on the bases by Pittsburgh. Antonacci may only have a 67-percent success rate for his eight stolen bases, but we’ve successfully invested here before and have no problem doing it again.
CJ Abrams, Washington Nationals (+379)
Abrams may not have the best track record against Marlins righty Sandy Alcantara, I do like the fact that he’s got a .303 average with a .415 OBP against righthanders. He’s also hit safely in five of his last six with two stolen bases in that span as well. Alcantara has allowed eight stolen bases on the year and Marlins backstops Je Mack and Liam Hicks have combined for a miserable 16-percent caught-stealing rate. Sure, Nasim Nunez has the better odds, but Abrams definitely has the better numbers to back him up tonight.
