We’re coming off a fantastic Darlington race with the Goodyear 400. Of course, if you’re William Byron you don’t think it was a great race. A dirty move by Joey Logano gave him the win and have a lot of people talking about what will happen this weekend at Kansas. The Advent Health 400 is this Sunday for the NASCAR Cup Series and that means another great chance for DFS. Before then though, we'll have to wait for NASCAR practice results to set our favorite picks for fantasy which will include Kyle Busch now that he's not on baby watch anymore.

What To Expect At Kansas Speedway

Kansas Speedway is a 1.5-mile track that has produced a lot of great races in the last few years. The track is similar to Las Vegas, Darlington, and Auto Club. What does that mean we can expect this weekend? Great racing. The cars should be able to go all over the track and race side-by-side. Of course, we could still see some bump-and-runs like Joey Logano did last week.

Top Drivers for Advent Health 400

Looking at the early Vegas odds for the Advent Health 400, there are a few drivers in mix for the win. Currently, there are four favorites to win the race — Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, and Kyle Larson — with another three drivers tied at slightly longer 10/1 odds — William Byron, Ross Chastain, and Martin Truex Jr. All seven of those drivers have very good track history at Kansas with four of them being the highest scoring DFS drivers on average.

Kansas Speedway Weather

Looking ahead to the race weekend for the Advent Health 400 and the Heart of America 200, the forecast is dicey. There is a chance of rain on both Friday and Sunday in Kansas City, KS. That’s not great for racing. The temperatures will also be in the 90s to start the weekend but dip down to the mid-70s for Sunday. If the rain does come, it could effect practice and qualifying for both the Cup Series and Truck Series.

NASCAR Weekend Schedule

It’s a two-day race weekend for Kansas. Practice and Qualifying for both the NASCAR Cup Series and Truck Series are scheduled for Saturday. Truck practice and qualifying starts at noon ET on Saturday followed by Cup Series practice getting underway at 5 pm ET. The Truck race goes green at 8 pm ET Saturday night with the Cup’s Advent Health 400 starting 3 pm ET on Sunday. Again let’s keep an eye on the weather at Kansas Speedway to see if anything changes.

Advent Health 400 Betting Picks

It’s only fitting to have a betting preview for the race at Kansas Speedway since Hollywood Casino is located off of Turn 4 of the speedway. On Friday, on Pickswise, the bets for the weekend will be posted. It will then be updated throughout the weekend to get the best lines and bets. Even with the chaos at Darlington last weekend, two of my prop bets — Ricky Stenhouse Top-10 Finish and Chase Elliott vs. Martin Truex Jr. — both hit.
