Wednesday’s LPL and LCK PrizePicks features the return of Damwon KIA with the reintroduction of Ghost into the starting roster, alongside FPX with a relatively easy match-up against Bilibili Gaming, Likewise with Nongshim RedForce with a stylistic advantage over the Afreeca Freecs.
PrizePicks Prop Selections
Damwon KIA v Liiv SANDBOX
Ghost (DK) - Projected Kills: 6.5 - OVER
While Ghost isn’t the flashiest (or even a great) ADC, he does constantly hold high KDAs across the board in DK’s wins, due to his defensive playstyle. 4 kills a game is a short hurdle to jump, even in spite of DK’s relatively calm games due to their propensity to concentrate their aggression in their teamfights, allowing Ghost to take many of the kills despite not being particularly strong during the laning phase.
Damwon KIA v Liiv SANDBOX
ShowMaker (DK) - Projected Kills: 6.5 - OVER
Ghost coming back to DK allows ShowMaker to shift back to middle lane, which is exactly what the team needed. Suddenly, the 2v2 power of Canyon and ShowMaker is once again running the league over. SANDBOX’s FATE is an underwhelming mid laner, and towards the bottom end of the standings relative to the others. I expect SANDBOX to fall fast and hard to Damwon KIA, who are hungry to regain their place at #1.
Bilibili Gaming v FunPlus Phoenix
Zeka (BLG) - Projected Kills: 6.5 - UNDER
Zeka is a decent enough mid laner- certainly LPL caliber (although he does take up an import slot) and frequently holds his own against great mid laners like Creme, Scout, and Xiye. Unfortunately, though, 7 kills is a bit of a high metric, and when he is faced with a very strong top side in FPX, it doesn’t seem likely that he can cross that barrier. Doinb himself is an excellent mid laner, but combined with a fantastic support, and jungle, Doinb has a well rounded cast to shut Zeka down.
Nongshim RedForce v Afreeca Freecs
Gori (NRF) - Projected Kills: 5.5 - OVER
Fly is a tremendous liability for the Freecs, and with Nongshim’s relatively strong mid-jungle 2v2, I fully expect Nongshim to exploit him to the maximum, allowing Gori ample opportunity to soak up as many kills as possible, and convert them into big teamfight wins. Gori has been a strong mid laner for Nongshim and he’s the biggest advantage they have against Afreeca, and I expect them to utilize it to its full potential.
