Sunday’s PrizePicks features five match-ups, with the LCK matches being disproportionately easy to predict relative to the more volatile LPL matches; in particular, Suning versus JD Gaming is difficult to pin down. RNG may be capable yet of defeating a top form EDG if they can muster their bearings, and OMG’s carries in Creme and Able will have to pull off a miracle to outperform their counterparts on LNG.
PrizePicks Prop Selections:
Nongshim RedForce vs KT Rolster
Deokdam (NRF) - Projected Kills: 6.5 - OVER
Relative to other LCK games, I predict KT to NRF to have a lot of action in the bottom side due to the relative strength of the team’s bottom lane. KT will prefer to avoid aggression on the top side, and instead play to their strong ADC in Noah. Due to all of this action, I predict Deokdam to pick up substantial kills and convert them into big teamfight pop-offs.
Nongshim RedForce vs KT Rolster
Doran (KT) - Projected Kills: 4.5 - UNDER
Likewise, Doran hasn’t impressed me in the top lane. KT’s underwhelming top side in Blank and Doran leads me to believe that they’ll avoid attacking the stronger Rich in top lane, leaving him to starve out Doran and make it nearly impossible for him to get rolling with kills, instead electing to give them to Dove and Noah. Doran on the weak side makes me believe he’ll go under the 5 kill projection throughout the series.
Suning Gaming v JD Gaming
Yagao (JDG) - Projected Kills: 6.5 - OVER
LPL games are naturally way more aggressive than their LCK counterparts. Likewise, I think Suning’s form is completely uncertain at this point- it’s this volatility that makes me think that JDG, and especially towards their middle laner Yagao, will be able to grab a large amount of kills throughout the series. Even if JDG are to lose, they’re not one that goes down without swinging hard.
Fredit BRION v DRX
Hena (BRO) - Projected Kills: 6.5 - OVER
DRX is the worst team in the league, with frequent substitutions that destabilize the roster. Jun and Taeyoon, the new bottom lane for DRX, are not a significant upgrade against their predecessors, and that’s to the benefit of BRO. While Hena isn’t a significantly strong ADC, BRO as a squad have a hard time accomplishing much before teamfights, which can lead to longer games, and hence, more kills.
