Every game here on out has playoff implications, but our LCK side of the slate has two matchups that could dramatically change who makes it into the top four of the LCK and gets side selection benefits in the first round of the playoffs. Not only does the KT Rolster v DRX match-up have two 9-7 teams in it, but Damwon Gaming is also sitting at the 9-7 record mark. With two more series to play for all three teams, the final placements of all these teams are still in the air. The LPL has four teams who are currently on the outside of the playoff cutoff, but for both TT and FPX, they mathematically still have a chance to make it. Tons of great value across the slate, so let’s dive in!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Series #1: Kwangdong Freecs v Damwon Gaming KIA

Series Breakdown: The positive spin for Damwon is that they are the best of the three teams at 9-7 in regards to the game record (22-15) but the negative here is far more significant though. DK is currently in the middle of a scary 3 game slide and they, unfortunately, end their split against T1 Esports. They need a dramatic game from their best carry threat deokdam (3rd most kills in the LCK with 161). Watch out though for KDF’s ADC (Teddy, 104 kills, 162 assists, 78% team kill participation rate) to play a possible spoiler. The former T1 ADC has had success not only against the DK organization but also the bottom lane of deokdam and BeryL when they were on Nongshim. This series is one to think about when picking underdogs.

Favorite Picks: deokdam (DK: $11,400/$7,600), Canyon (DK: $6,800), Damwon Gaming KIA ($5,600)

Value Picks: Teddy (KDF: $6,800), FATE (KDF: $6,800)

Cann’s Match Pick: Damwon Gaming KIA (2-1)

Series #2: DRX v KT Rolster

Series Breakdown: The positive here is that both of these teams are locking into the playoffs. The reality is that one of these teams (if not both) will be one of the bottom seeds in the LCK playoffs. We have seen a few instances of an LCK team making a miracle run through the playoffs and leveraging that time to make a push to the World Championship. It is a brutal tournament to try and win and doing your best to limit the amount of series you have to win is so important. For KT Rolster, they are putting everything in the Aiming (175 kills, 5.8 KDA) basket. They will send massive amounts of resources into the bottom lane to make sure that Aiming can create a gold gap that DRX’s Deft cannot overcome. DRX will most likely forfeit that bottom lane, Deft is not normally a player who will carry through the early lead but need the late game to shine. Instead, DRX will funnel gold into their mid-laner, Zeka. Zeka has an aggressive champion pool who can influence the side lanes and gain advantages for DRX in objective fights. I expect a very close matchup between these two teams.

Favorite Picks: Aiming (KT: $11,100/$7,400), Rascal (KT: $5,800), Life (KT: $5,400)

Value Picks: DRX ($4,800), Pyosik (DRX: $6,200), Zika (DRX: $7,000)

Cann’s Match Pick: KT Rolster (2-1)

Series #3: Team WE v FunPlus Phoenix

Series Breakdown: It is hard to break this series down because of how bad Team WE are. We have basically no players of any value and I fully expect that if Team WE want to be competitive next year, the whole thing will be blown up. FPX still has to play a clean game though, the individual game record is the primary tiebreaker mechanic in the LPL. Dropping a game to WE will almost assuredly spell the end of their 2022 season.

Favorite Picks: Summit (FPX: $6,400), Clid (FPX: $7,400), Lwx (FPX: $7,800)

Value Picks: Shanks (WE: $6,400)

Cann’s Match Pick: FunPlus Phoenix (2-0)

Series #4: TT Gaming v Ultra Prime

Series Breakdown: Much like FPX, Kepler and TT need to have a 2-0 performance on Thursday. Kepler (107 kills in 23 games) may be the most impactful addition in the LPL outside of Hope to JDG. Luckily for TT, Ultra Prime is a pretty soulless team at thighs point. The saddest part of that is that their jungler (H4cker) could be so awesome if he had a better ensemble of teammates around him. This feels like the most likely 2-0 win on the slate but don’t forget that it is an LPL match, so nothing is for sure!

Favorite Picks: Kepler (TT: $12,000/$8,000), Beichuan (TT: $7,000), yaoyao (TT: $6,000)

Value Picks: Zoom (UP: $5,400), H4cker (UP: $6,000),

Cann’s Match Pick: TT Gaming (2-0)
