Monday’s LPL features a close match-up between Rare Atom and FunPlus Phoenix which is likely to come down to the difference in the top side and jungle. Meanwhile, a strong first placed EDG should wipe the floor with the mid tier LGD, due to their weak side lanes.

PrizePicks Prop Selections

Rare Atom v FunPlus Phoenix

Tian (FPX) - Projected Kills: 5.5 - UNDER

Tian is a strong jungler, no doubt- but his strength isn’t racking up big kills, it’s donating the fruits of his aggression to his laners, while he functions on low resources. High- or even moderate kill projections just isn’t the flavor of Tian, and while I have FPX overcoming RA due to the superior jungle match-up, it’s due to how Tian interacts with his laners, as opposed to how I view Tian interacting with Leyan.

LGD Gaming v EDward Gaming

Kramer (LGD) - Projected Kills: 5.5 - UNDER

At this point, Kramer is in the twilight of his career. He’s had a great run, and can still be an upper tier ADC in the LPL, but when he’s saddled with a support like Mark, it’s just not going to happen. Mark does way too many random, intentional feeding plays while Kramer is the old school, farm up and teamfight ADC. Unfortunately for Kramer, I don’t see LGD winning any teamfights against EDG, hence his under projection.

LGD Gaming v EDward Gaming

Viper (EDG) - Projected Kills: 9.5 - OVER

While 10 is a big, BIG projection to beat, I think Viper has this one- he’s actively funneled kills across the games he’s in by mid, jungle, support, and basically we can throw top in there too. He’s the primary carry superstar of the squad, and unlike Scout, he’s laning against one of the weaker points of LGD in their bottom lane. Viper has a lot of work to do, but I can easily see him scoring 5 kills a game at the least.
