The LEC on Friday was fairly chalk with the only real shake up was S04 falling to SK Gaming in one of the more lifeless performances out of a pro team this split. We are getting a better focus on who are the top of the table and those who are on the bottom of the table. This slate also seems fairly chalky with the most climatic game coming at the end with Rogue squaring off against G2 Esports. There are a lot of choices for you to make on Saturday, so let’s dive in!

Fantasy Value Breakdown
Captain
Favorite: Carzzy (MAD: $12,000) I think we can all agree that the narrative about Carzzy being some crazy liability is overstated at this point. While he does have a tendency of dying in team fights, it is more because opponents know that if he goes unchecked, he will carry the fight. He has great kill numbers (51) and assist numbers (51) as well as a great team kill share percentage of over 35%. MAD Lions are favored in today’s matchup against Shalke 04 and that should translate into numbers for Carzzy.
Value Pick: LIDER (VIT: $11,100)
Top Lane
Favorite: Adam (FNC: $6,800) Adam has really proven himself as a top tier top laner this split. When Fnatic shook up the roster as much as they did between Spring and Summer many doubted it was an upgrade. Adam is showing just how much value having a carry top laner who knows how to juggle pressure can have for a team. He is leading all top laners in kills (35) and has a 71% team kill participation rate. Fnatic fight as a team so if you choose one, it is good to pick up a few of them.
Value Pick: Whiteknight (AST: $5,600)
Jungle
Favorite: Bwipo (FNC: $7,600) Bwipo has found his home in the jungle. The previous over aggression and need to fight has transferred so well into high tier jungle play and I will admit I slept on it. Check the receipts, I said he was going to fail because of his ability to see the macro game play and for the most part in Summer he has proved me wrong. Fnatic has really high neutral objective take rates as well as Bwipo having good personal numbers. His 71% team kill participation is one of my favorite stats because it helps illustrate how involved Bwipo is across the map. Solid pick up in the jungle here.
Value Pick: Inspired (RGE: $6,600)
Mid Lane
Favorite: Vetheo (MSF: $8,000) This guy is an absolute monster. This is my early pick for Summer Split MVP so far. The pressure he creates in the mid lane and how he can transfer the leads he makes in his lane to his teammates is second to none. He is aggressive and blood thirsty which also makes him especially valuable in DFS. He has a 7.1 KDA with 42 kills and 57 assists. He doesn’t die unnecessarily and he does such a good job fulfilling his role within the team comp. Love this pick, even with the higher price tag.
Value Pick: Caps (G2: $7,000)
ADC
Favorite: Upset (FNC: $8,200) Keep riding this wave here. On Friday Upset 8 kills and 6 assists to only one death. I think the 52 kill and 65 assist ADC will continue to pile on to his 8+ KDA in his matchup against the much weaker XL side.
Value Pick: Jezu (SK: $6,800)
Support
Favorite: Kaiser (MAD: $6,400) This is a lot of money to drop for the support position but it is a relatively safe pick. Kaiser is one of the best supports in the LEC and he is laning against the league’s worst team in S04. I expect Kaiser to find a performance that will bump his 65% team kill participation and add to his 87 assists on the split. He and Carzzy are pretty heavily favored against Neon and LIMIT and it shows in the prices on this slate.
Value Pick: Hylissang (FNC: $5,800)
Team
Favorite: Fnatic ($6,200) A lot like my support pick, I think this is a lot of money to drop in this role. That being said, FNC are currently the second place team in the league and statistically a clear choice above others on this slate./ They have the second best early game rating (64.4) and gold differential at 15 minutes (1459). They have one of the highest kills for a team in the league (180) and are playing one of the weakest teams in the league in XL. Pretty close to a safe pick here, but then again it is the LEC.
