Both Western leagues are deep into their playoffs and for the European half of the slate, there is no room for error. For Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses, the winner gets to punch their ticket to the World Championships and get to face 100 Thieves in the upper-bracket finals. Series Breakdown: These two teams could not be closer in my mind. They have all the tools to be successful but keep falling short. Fnatic has one of the best bottom lanes on paper (Upset/Hylissang) and XL has a great top half of the map led by their jungler Macron. In the face of all of these great players, both teams continue to fall short when putting it together. I honestly don’t have strong convictions other than FNC should have a better lineup in theory, which is why I have them winning this coin-flip series.

Series #2: Evil Geniuses (-225) v Cloud9 (+167)

Series Breakdown: Evil Geniuses have had a shakier end to the Summer Split, but that doesn’t matter here. The real match for EG will be against 100 Thieves in the next rough and whenever they play Team Liquid. On their best day, there are no teams that can compete with those big three teams in the LCS. C9 will try to leverage the laning abilities of Fudge and Jensen but the gap between Inspired and the once glorified Blaber will be too much here. I think this series could be a very fast 3-0 but because of the volatile nature of both teams.
