Our slateless Tuesday had the top teams in the LPL jockey for the top of the league. In a wild series, JDG beat out the Spring Split regular season champion (V5) in a 2-0 series win. The resurgence of JDG is a marker for other teams to stay true to their own process and development, the wins will follow after. For today’s slate, Anyone’s Legend (7-4, 16-11) could continue their steady climb to the top with a win and continue this shift of development over chasing the big free agent name. Be on the lookout for KT Rolster to make some noise against T1 and a possible upset with the dogs of OMG. A lot to play for and a ton of great players to pick from, let’s dive in!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Series #1: T1 Esports v KT Rolster

Series Breakdown: The line from Bovada tells the whole story with this matchup. The -650 line for T1 tells us that they are the overwhelming favorites here. They really only have one or two more matches that should be “scary” for them but their roster and pedigree is just a cut above the rest of the LCK. The +145 line for KT Rolster though tells us a little bit of a different story. KT has a good lineup and their ADC (Aiming - 5.8 KDA, 77% team kill participation rate) leads the LCK in kills with 126. There is a real win condition here for KT and if it ends up being a series where Gumayusi disappears (and this has happened over the course of his career), T1 may be in a little trouble.

Favorite Picks: Gumayusi (T1: $11,700/$7,800), Oner (T1: $7,000)

Value Picks: Aiming (KT: $10,200/$6,800), VicLa (KT: $6,200)

Cann’s Match Pick: T1 Esports (2-1)

Series #2: Hanwha Life Esports v Damwon

Series Breakdown: There is almost no reason to watch this series. Damwon have started hitting their stride and will be a nightmare matchup for whichever team gets second in the LCK in the Summer Split Playoffs. They are finally getting good production from deokdam (last series - 11 kills and has a 72.6 FPPG average) and this is making the difference. When DK was at the top of the world, the individual pieces could carry their own weight and there was a limited emphasis on players like ShowMaker and Canyon having to do too much in the early game. There really isn’t any approach that HLE can take that should throw DK off their game too much.

Favorite Picks: deokdam (DK: $12,000/$8,000), Canyon (DK: $7,200), Kellin (DK: $6,200), Damwon Gaming ($5,800)

Value Picks: DuDu (HLE: $4,800)

Cann’s Match Pick: Damwon (2-0)

Series #3: LGD Gaming v Team WE

Series Breakdown: Almost for the opposite reason than the last matchup covered, this is a series to absolutely skip. Neither team is particularly polished nor are they overly consistent in the points they pick up. The biggest points earned here should most likely be in the bottom lane with the new ADCs (LGD Assum and WE: Xing) but a too small of a sample size makes me worried that their previous instances of success are just flashes in the pan. Make these picks with caution or as an off-meta pick for your lobby.

Favorite Picks: Biubiu (WE: $6,200), Shad0w (LGD: $6,400), Assum (LGD: $7,400)

Value Picks: Xing (WE: $7,200), Kedaya (WE: $5,400)

Cann’s Match Pick: Team WE (2-1)

Series #4: Oh My God v Anyone’s Legend

Series Breakdown: This is a split defining series for both teams. Both AL and OMG are floating around the cut off and have limited matches left on their schedule. OMG have amazing early game performances out of individuals, which allows for the team to roll through late game fights. AL take a far more methodical approach to the game and we see that they can win through more organized late-game play. So what is the division here? Can OMG’s Able get far enough ahead to neutralize the likes of Forge (AL mid-laner) in the late game or can Xiaohao track movement well enough in the jungle to allow his team to scale?

Favorite Picks: Xiaohao (AL: $6,800), Forge (AL: $7,400), QiuQiu (AL: $5,800)

Value Picks: shani (OMG: $5,800), Able (OMG: $7,000)

Cann’s Match Pick: Anyone’s Legend (2-1)
